## Description

Fuse Energy is a forward-thinking renewable energy startup on a mission to deliver a terawatt of renewable energy - fast. We're combining first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system. We raised $200M from top-tier investors including Multicoin, Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, Box Group and strategic angels like Nico Rosberg, the Co-Founder of Solana and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify, Uber and more.

We’re creating a fully integrated energy company: from developing solar, wind and hydrogen projects to real-time power trading and distributed energy installations. By selling directly to consumers, we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass on savings to customers.

But we’re not stopping there. We’re also building the Energy Network: a decentralised platform of smart devices that rewards users in Energy Dollars for electrifying their homes, shifting usage to off-peak hours, and helping balance the grid. This network strengthens grid stability - a critical foundation for scaling AI data centres and other energy-intensive industries.

We're looking for a Data Centre Engineer to lay the foundation for our AI compute infrastructure. You'll be our hands-on technical specialist on the ground, covering everything from the first site walkthrough to the moment a high-density GPU cluster goes live. You'll take empty spaces and colo data halls and turn them into operational AI compute sites end to end.

###
Responsibilities

- Assess prospective spaces and colo data halls for technical feasibility before commercial commitments are made, covering power capacity, cooling headroom, structural load, and M&E suitability.
- Drive the full deployment lifecycle from hardware selection and contractor briefing through to rack installation and commissioning sign-off, working directly alongside external and internal teams to maintain pace, quality, and safety standards.
- Manage HV/LV distribution, UPS systems, backup generation, and switchgear across sites, covering planned maintenance and fault response.
- Install, validate, and commission liquid cooling infrastructure, confirming thermal performance before hardware goes live.
- Maintain RAMS documentation and coordinate permit-to-work processes for all high-risk activities on site.

## Requirements

- Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects from the ground up, including DC fitouts, critical facility builds, or commissioning within colo or hyperscale environments, end to end.
- Deep technical knowledge of mission-critical power infrastructure covering HV/LV distribution, UPS, backup generation, and switchgear. Designed, maintained, or commissioned these systems directly.
- Cooling systems depth across CRAC/CRAH, chilled water loops, and CDUs. Liquid cooling hands-on experience (direct-to-chip, rear-door, or immersion) is a strong differentiator.
- Exposure to high-density compute: HPC hardware, GPU rack architectures, or high-density data suites, with a strong understanding of what extreme power density demands from the surrounding infrastructure.
- Highly autonomous and self-directed, with a track record of taking full technical responsibility for physical infrastructure projects in fast-paced environments.

## Benefits

- Competitive salary
- Biannual bonus scheme
- Fully expensed tech to match your needs
- Paid annual leave
- Breakfast and dinner allowance for office based employees
