# Construction Superintendent - Commercial / Industrial Construction

## Description

KingSoft LLC seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee field execution of a commercial and industrial construction project involving a new boiler plant, building construction, site improvements and existing-facility demolition.

This position requires someone who can interpret complete construction drawings, coordinate multiple subcontractors and manage work from foundations through equipment installation and project completion.

### Responsibilities

-   Direct daily construction activities and coordinate subcontractor foremen.
-   Read and coordinate civil, architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical drawings.
-   Plan excavation, foundations, basement construction, phased concrete pours, steel erection and building enclosure.
-   Coordinate sleeves, embeds, anchor bolts, underground utilities and equipment access before work proceeds.
-   Maintain look-ahead schedules and coordinate labor, deliveries, equipment and inspections.
-   Identify drawing conflicts and missing information and work with the project manager to resolve them.
-   Coordinate mechanical and electrical installation with structural and architectural work.
-   Manage site logistics, shutdown coordination and protection of adjacent operations.
-   Maintain daily reports and monitor subcontractor progress.
-   Work closely with the project manager, quality control manager and safety officer.

## Requirements

### Qualifications

-   Minimum 10 years of on-site construction experience.
-   Demonstrated superintendent experience on commercial, industrial or institutional construction projects.
-   Experience with foundations, reinforced concrete, structural steel and substantial mechanical/electrical systems.
-   Strong ability to interpret drawings and specifications and coordinate multiple trades.
-   Experience managing construction sequencing and phased concrete operations.
-   Experience on construction projects with values in the few millions.
-   Experience coordinating with owners, inspectors, and teams working around active operations, including shutdown-sensitive sites.
-   Strong communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.
-   Eligible to work in the United States.
-   Federal, VA, hospital, central utility plant or boiler plant experience preferred.
