## Description

As the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations across the Group’s two hotels, Athens & Kefalonia, ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained to the highest standards. You will play a key role in guaranteeing operational efficiency, safety compliance, and seamless guest experience through proactive maintenance and effective team management.

**What you’ll do** 

-   Manage and supervise day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures are consistently applied across all properties. 

-   Report directly to the General Manager on all maintenance-related topics. 

-   Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual Maintenance Action Plan in close cooperation with hotel management and maintenance teams. 

-   Oversee the condition, availability, and inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies. 

-   Handle maintenance issues promptly and effectively, guaranteeing timely and appropriate resolutions. 

-   Support the recruitment process and contribute to the training, performance assessment, and retention of maintenance personnel. 

-   Coordinate external contractors, and service providers regarding technical and safety matters. 

-   Lead regular team meetings and actively participate in cross-departmental meetings to promote collaboration and operational alignment.

## Requirements

-   At least three years of proven experience in a Chief Engineer or similar role within a hotel or hospitality environment. 

-   Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or a related technical field. 

-   Strong computer literacy, with confident use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).  

-   Solid technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. 

-   Availability to **travel** monthly between hotel properties, as part of regular visits to oversee operations and support the local Maintenance team. 

-   Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English. 

-   Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate and oversee Maintenance operations across two hotel locations. 

-   Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently, especially in a dynamic, multi-site environment. 

-   Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams in different locations.
