## Description

We are working with a Lloyd's managing agent to find an Underwriting Operations Analyst for their Operations function. This role blends data, controls and reporting responsibilities, working closely with Syndicate Leadership, Actuarial, Finance and Compliance to keep underwriting data accurate and Lloyd's reporting on track. It's a strong fit for someone who enjoys turning data into insight and building relationships across a broad stakeholder base. Please note the role carries no authority to underwrite or settle claims on behalf of the Syndicate.

Responsibilities:

- Take ownership of data quality across underwriting systems, running validation, reconciliation and quality assurance checks and getting to the root cause of recurring discrepancies
- Monitor adherence to Individual Underwriting Authorities and the Syndicate's Premium controls, feeding results into quarterly committee presentations and helping evolve the control framework alongside the Group Head of Controls
- Build and maintain the Syndicate's PowerBI-based Underwriting MI, working with the Data Management team to keep it sharp and relevant for Syndicate Leadership
- Pull together quarterly Underwriting MI packs, complete with commentary, for internal committees and governance groups
- Coordinate with Actuarial, Finance and Compliance to prepare and submit Non-Financial Lloyd's and Regulatory Returns (PMDR, RRQ, Non-XIS, ATIA, Gareat, CIRC, TRIA among others), checking outputs with senior stakeholders before submission deadlines
- Spot opportunities to reduce manual work and improve data quality, writing up requirements to support new processes, controls and automation
- Act as a go-between for underwriters, finance, claims, compliance, reserving, delegated authority and technology teams, keeping issues moving and requirements clearly understood on both sides

## Requirements

- Background working within a Lloyd's Syndicate
- Confident with PowerBI, SQL or similar data visualisation tools
- Strong Excel skills
- A naturally analytical mindset, comfortable pulling together and presenting data from multiple sources
- Well organised, with the ability to juggle competing deadlines under pressure
- Strong relationship builder, equally comfortable with internal teams and external contacts
- Clear communicator who works well as part of a team
- Genuine appetite to grow your Lloyd's market knowledge through ongoing training

## Benefits

Length: Permanent contract

Salary: up to £42k
