The [Garmin Dive](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.garmin.android.apps.dive&hl=en-US) app is essentially the ultimate diving companion application featuring a digital logbook and community platform designed for scuba divers and free divers and it’s built to pair seamlessly with Garmin’s **Descent** series and other compatible watches.

We believe that collaboration leads to the best ideas, and we rely heavily on team interaction. As a role based in Cluj-Napoca, this position will require 5 days in the office each week.

**Responsibilities:**

-   Create and execute designs for software components within a larger project.
-   Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced Software Engineers.
-   Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions.
-   Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes.
-   Perform technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems.

## Requirements

-   Strong knowledge on Android components such as Services, Providers, Activities, Fragments, threading, BT/BLE API’s.
-   Minimum 6 years of experience in Android development.
-   Strong Compose, Kotlin and Android Studio knowledge.
-   BSc in Computer Science, IT or similar.
-   Proficiency in English.
