The **Garmin Dive app** is essentially the ultimate diving companion application featuring a digital logbook and community platform designed for scuba divers and free divers and it’s built to pair seamlessly with Garmin’s **Descent** series and other compatible watches.

**Responsibilities:**

-   Develop and enhance software solutions for Garmin Dive Application
-   Apply software engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
-   Understand business needs and translate them to technical solutions.
-   Add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions.
-   Help ensure resiliency and high availability of the applications owned by your team. 
-   Help set up monitoring for the new features being developed.
-   Troubleshoot software issues.
-   Write and maintain technical documentation.

## Requirements

-   Strong knowledge of Java and OOP principles.
-   Proven experience in designing, enhancing and developing complex Java microservices using Spring Boot (experience in cloud-native application development is a plus).
-   Strong understanding of Spring Framework.
-   Good knowledge of web services (REST).
-   Knowledgeable about relational or non-relational databases.
-   Good knowledge of unit testing.
-   Good understanding of design patterns.
-   Good usage skills of development tools (source control, development environment, issue tracking).
-   Good knowledge of building tools and continuous delivery.
-   6+ years of relevant work experience.
-   Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
