## Description

**International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A.** is currently looking for a:

**Accounting and Tax Supervisor**

**Responsibilities**

-   Leads the preparation of monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
-   Oversees the month-end and year-end close processes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
-   Ensures integrity of the General Ledger and Trial Balance.
-   Coordinates with external auditors to manage annual audits and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
-   Develops and maintains robust internal controls over financial reporting (Cost Centers, Cost Drivers, ABC costing processes).
-   Monitors Fixed Assets Register and Fixed Assets Inventory.
-   Applies Cost Accounting principles for several aspects of cost allocation activities.
-   Ensures timely preparation, review and submission of all corporate Tax statements.
-   Coordinates with external tax consultants and advisors.
-   Oversees withholding tax compliance, documentation and implementation.
-   Stays updated with tax laws and regulations and applies all changes promptly.
-   Manages tax provision processes.
-   Leads and develops a high-performing team of accounting and tax experts.
-   Drives process improvements, automation and system upgrades to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
-   Provides insights and recommendations for budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning.

**Requirements**

-   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
-   Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field will be preferred
-   Min 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in managerial capacity
-   ACCA is required
-   Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and tax laws
-   Experience with ERP systems (SAP is preferable)
-   Excellent knowledge of English language, both oral and written
-   Strong Excel skills
