### About the Role

We are looking for an experienced **Medical Virtual Assistant** to join our team, with a strong background in **insurance verification and healthcare administrative support**.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and confident communicating with insurance providers to verify patient eligibility, benefits, coverage, and other insurance-related information.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification for patients.
-   Contact insurance companies to confirm coverage, benefits, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and authorization requirements.
-   Accurately document insurance verification results and patient information.
-   Identify and communicate insurance discrepancies or coverage issues.
-   Coordinate with healthcare providers and internal teams regarding insurance requirements.
-   Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
-   Perform other medical administrative and virtual assistant duties as needed.

## Requirements

### Qualifications

-   Proven experience as a **Medical Virtual Assistant**, Medical Administrative Assistant, or similar healthcare support role.
-   **Hands-on experience in insurance verification is required.**
-   Strong understanding of health insurance eligibility, benefits, and verification processes.
-   Excellent communication and documentation skills.
-   Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
-   Comfortable working with healthcare systems, insurance portals, and electronic medical records.
-   Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote-work environment.

### Preferred Experience

Experience working with **Kaiser** and **Anthem Insurance** is a **strong advantage** and will be highly considered.
