## Description

**Global Engineering & Technology (GET)** is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of **Senior Instructor** to support the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Classification in Germantown, Maryland. This position has future management opportunities.

_**This is a highly compensated position that offers a hybrid onsite/remote work option.**_ _Once fully qualified in their position (approximately 6 months), the Senior Instructor will have the flexibility to complete up to 40% of their work from home._

The Senior Instructor develops and prepares Department of Energy (DOE) training materials in highly technical subject areas relating to work performed by our team of classification analysts, declassification analysts, and nuclear technology subject matter experts. This instructor also conducts training on classification and sensitive information policies, guidelines, and procedures for the greater DOE community including the national laboratories and national security sites, as well as other government agencies.

**Subject areas include:**

-   Nuclear weapon design
-   Nuclear weapon utilization
-   Nuclear weapon material production
-   Radiological emergency response
-   Safeguards and security of nuclear weapons and special nuclear material
-   Protection of Restricted Data, Formerly Restricted Data, and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information.

**Compensation Range:** $140,000-$160,000/Year (depending on qualifications)

## Requirements

_**All applicants with a background in nuclear weapon design or employment will be strongly considered.**_

**Education:**

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a scientific discipline (e.g., physical sciences, engineering, or mathematics). A Master’s Degree is highly desirable.

**Security Clearance:**

This position requires an active _**Top Secret**_ or _**DOE Q**_ security clearance.

**Highly sought-after skills, knowledge, and experience:**

The ideal candidate will have classification/declassification experience and at least two (2) years of direct training experience, including experience with modern training techniques encompassing the development of course syllabuses, student evaluations, recognition of individual student requirements, and utilization of computer-based training systems.

The ideal candidate will be a DOE qualified Derivative Classifier (DC), Derivative Declassifier (DD), and have experience serving as an Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information Reviewing Official (UCNI RO). Absent this experience, the candidate will be provided with training to attain these qualifications.
