**Workplace:** on_site

## Description

Department: Operations / Technology Reports to: VP of Marketing Type: Full-time Location: Raleigh, NC — on-site (confirm)

### About GO Media

GO Media is a specialized marketing agency serving clients across orthodontics, dentistry, med-aesthetics, retail, education, and wellness. We partner with high-growth, regulated brands to build conversion-driven campaigns across digital, print, and experiential channels. Our team is lean, collaborative, and deeply strategic, which means the systems we build matter as much as the work we ship.

### About the Role

We're hiring an AI Systems & Automation Specialist to be the technical engine behind how GO Media operates. Where our AI Design Specialist focuses on creative output, this role focuses on the infrastructure underneath it: the automations, data pipelines, and internal tools that let a small team deliver at the scale of a much larger one.

You'll spend your time finding the manual, repetitive, error-prone parts of how an agency runs — reporting, data reconciliation, asset routing, campaign QA, client deliverables — and replacing them with systems that work reliably without anyone babysitting them. You'll also be our internal scout for what's actually worth adopting from a fast-moving AI landscape, and the person who separates genuine capability from vendor noise.

This is a mid-level role. We're open to recent graduates from engineering, computer science, data, or AI programs who can demonstrate real building ability, as well as candidates with two to four years of experience in software, IT, data analytics, or technical operations. Agency experience is not required. Curiosity, judgment, and a bias toward shipping are.

### What You'll Do

Process automation

- Map how work actually moves through the agency and identify where time is being lost to manual handoffs
- Build and maintain automations connecting the tools we already use — project management, CRM, ad platforms, file storage, communication
- Develop internal tools and scripts that eliminate recurring manual work across account, media, and creative teams
- Own the reliability of what you build: monitoring, error handling, documentation, and graceful failure

Data and reporting

- Build and maintain data pipelines pulling from ad platforms, analytics, call tracking, and client-side systems
- Automate recurring client and internal reporting so insight-generation replaces spreadsheet assembly
- Investigate and resolve data integrity issues — mismatched attribution, broken tracking, inconsistent naming, duplicate records
- Apply AI and LLM-based approaches to summarization, anomaly detection, classification, and analysis where they genuinely outperform simpler methods

AI tooling and enablement

- Stay current on AI models, tools, and platforms; evaluate what's worth piloting and what isn't
- Run structured pilots with clear success criteria rather than open-ended experimentation
- Train and support the team on adopting new tools, and write the documentation that makes adoption stick
- Help establish practical internal standards for AI use in a regulated healthcare context — data handling, PHI boundaries, client-approval workflows, disclosure

Creative operations

- Partner with the AI Design Specialist and creative team to streamline production workflows: asset versioning, review cycles, delivery, and archiving
- Automate the mechanical parts of creative ops — resizing, format conversion, naming conventions, asset routing, compliance checks
- Build systems that give the creative team more time on craft and less on logistics

## Requirements

Required

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, information systems, or a related technical field — or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Working proficiency in Python (or a comparable scripting language) for automation and data work
- Comfort with APIs, webhooks, authentication, and connecting systems that weren't designed to talk to each other
- SQL and hands-on experience working with real, messy data
- Practical experience with modern AI tools and LLM APIs, including prompt design and understanding where these tools fail
- Genuine curiosity about how things work and a track record of building things without being told exactly what to build
- Clear communication with non-technical colleagues — you can explain a tradeoff to an account manager without condescension or jargon
- Ability to work on-site five days a week in a highly collaborative environment (confirm)

Nice to have

- Experience with automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, n8n, or Power Automate
- Familiarity with marketing and ad platform APIs — Google Ads, Meta, GA4, call tracking systems
- BI and dashboarding experience (Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau)
- Exposure to healthcare, dental, or other regulated industries, and an understanding of HIPAA and PHI handling
- Cloud services experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Any evidence of building for its own sake — side projects, open source, automations you made because something annoyed you

### What Success Looks Like

First 90 days: You understand how work moves through the agency, you've documented the three highest-friction manual processes, and you've shipped at least one automation that measurably saves the team time.

First year: Recurring client reporting largely runs itself. The team trusts the data. There's a documented, working process for evaluating and adopting new AI tools. And people across the agency come to you with "there has to be a better way to do this" — because you've proven there usually is.

## Benefits

### Why GO Media

We're small enough that what you build gets used immediately and you can see its impact directly. We're serious enough about AI that we've already invested in it as a discipline rather than a buzzword. And we work in regulated verticals where doing this well requires actual judgment, not just tool access.

### How to Apply

Send your resume along with a short note about something you've automated or built — what the problem was, what you made, and what it changed. We're more interested in that than a cover letter.

GO Media is an equal opportunity employer. We're committed to building a team with a range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
