**Workplace:** hybrid

## Description

At GoGlobal, the Regional Product Owner (RPO), Accounting, Tax & Payments (ATP) — APAC & EMEA leads our in-house ATP delivery across the two regions. You will be accountable for the quality, timeliness, and economic sustainability of accounting, tax compliance, and statutory deliverables, lead the Managers and in-country teams running day-to-day operations, and work closely with the Global Product Owner (GPO), ATP on product direction and standards. A core focus of this role is championing a process-oriented way of working — promoting adoption of GoGlobal’s global ATP process standards across the region as the foundation for scalable, sustainable delivery — while keeping client experience front and centre. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdiction environment and is comfortable owning both delivery performance and the economics behind it.

**Roles & Responsibilities**

**Regional Delivery Leadership**

- Lead in-house ATP delivery across APAC and EMEA — bookkeeping, accounting close, tax compliance preparation, and statutory filings — ensuring deliverables are accurate, compliant, and on time.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Manager (Team Lead) layer and the in-country local ATP teams, who in turn manage Specialists and Associates. Build team capability across the jurisdictions GoGlobal supports.
- Maintain visibility of regional delivery workloads and capacity, protecting delivery performance and client SLAs.
- Act as the senior point of escalation for material accounting, tax, or compliance incidents, leading resolution and root-cause analysis.

**Delivery Performance & Economics**

- Manage in-house ATP delivery cost and margin across the region, keeping the operation efficient and economically sustainable.
- Drive productivity through better staffing models, work allocation, review intensity, and adoption of automation.
- Plan headcount and capacity for the region based on demand, productivity, and delivery-model considerations; put forward hiring proposals with a clear business case.
- Where deals or scopes are uneconomic, escalate early and propose remediation — pricing, scope, or delivery-model adjustments.

**Process Standardisation & Continuous Improvement**

- Promote a process-oriented way of working across the regional ATP function — driving adoption of global standards for workflows, controls, review practices, and tooling usage to build scalable and sustainable delivery.
- Balance process discipline with judgement on where flexibility is needed to maintain a strong client experience; standardise the back-office, personalise the client touchpoints.
- Drive continuous improvement across the regional operation, identifying inefficiencies and feeding improvement ideas back to the global process owners; apply standardised global approaches consistently across the portfolio.
- Adopt approved global processes, tools, and system changes within scope; lead rollout and adoption.
- Apply AI-assisted tools and automation thoughtfully to improve accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround across the portfolio.

**Compliance, Audit & Risk**

- Stay current on accounting standards (IFRS, local GAAP) and tax / statutory reporting requirements across APAC and EMEA, and proactively flag upcoming changes.
- Ensure ATP delivery is executed in line with global standards, internal controls, and local regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits, providing accurate working papers, evidence, and accounting / tax context as required.

**Client & Stakeholder Management**

- Serve as the senior operational point of contact for clients served by in-house ATP delivery, ensuring a high standard of service and clear, timely communication.
- Anchor client onboarding, transition, and go-live activities within scope.
- Escalate material client issues or risks to the GPO with clear context and recommended resolution.

**Cross-Functional Collaboration**

- Work closely with the GPO, ATP, the Head of GBS, and other delivery and enabling functions across GBS.
- Coordinate with peer delivery leaders within ATP and adjacent products to ensure a consistent client experience.
- Represent the in-house ATP operation in cross-functional forums with Finance, Legal, HR, Revenue, and client-facing teams.

## Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in accounting, tax, or finance operations, including direct responsibility for ATP delivery across multiple countries in APAC and/or EMEA.
- Demonstrated experience leading distributed accounting teams, including Managers (Team Leads) and the Specialists / Associates below them.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP, tax legislation, and statutory reporting requirements across APAC and EMEA markets.
- Track record of owning regional or product-level delivery economics — cost-to-serve, productivity, and margin.
- Process-oriented mindset, with a strong belief in adopting global standards as the foundation for scalable and sustainable delivery — combined with the judgement to know where flexibility serves the client.
- Experience managing client relationships in an accounting, shared-services, or BPO environment, including escalation and structured stakeholder communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable with capacity planning, productivity metrics, and unit economics.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence across leadership, peers, and delivery teams.
- Proficiency in accounting platforms — Xero in particular, plus other ERP / accounting systems (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent); advanced Excel skills.
- Comfort working with AI-assisted tools and an openness to AI literacy as the function evolves.
- Flexibility on working hours — willingness to work extended hours to provide adequate overlap with European and other non-APAC time zones.
- Additional language proficiency is a plus.

**OVERVIEW**

_**We Measure Success by Results, Not Hours Worked**_

No timesheets.

At GoGlobal, we give you the autonomy to make decisions that create real impact. We prioritize results over hours worked, focusing on quality of outcomes rather than tracking time.

As a privately owned company, we are free from the pressures of venture capital or private equity investors demanding exponential growth in unreasonable time frames.

Sometimes, things just take time to do well. In our business, delivering great results is a process - and we're committed to doing it right.

We are not for sale. We believe that financial success is a natural outcome of our work, not the primary goal. Unlike many investors who view money as a goal, our focus is on long-term growth and sustainable success.

We are a global team, built for those who want to go further. Here's what your career at GoGlobal looks like:

- A company small enough for your voice to be heard meaningfully, yet large enough to make a global impact
- Collaborating with a diverse, global and supportive team
- Built for the long-haul - no VC or PE pressure, just a focus on sustainable growth

**WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT**

_**We Make Growing Your Career Possible**_

- **We operate with the benefits of a partnership without the complexities of a partnership.** Our hybrid partnership-corporate model offers all employees the opportunity to become a partner, while maintaining a streamlined corporate structure so that decisions are made quickly

- **We do not offer equity plans.** As we are not for sale and are not chasing an exit, "stock options" hold little value in our business model. Instead, we provide opportunities for outstanding employees to make partner and share in the profits. We believe it's better to build lasting value than to chase a one-time payout

- **We prioritize organic and sustainable growth.** Expanding operations quickly by way of mergers and acquisitions might seem appealing, but the reality is integrating diverse cultures can be challenging. We're proud of our own culture and prefer to grow it our way

- **We're global.** We offer career opportunities across the world-whether it's new job roles or international locations

- **English is our official language, but for many, it's our second language.** We embrace this and find it rewarding communicating with colleagues from all over the world

- **We are not a family.** We operate more like a high-performing sports team where each individual's contribution is crucial to our collective success

- **We keep things simple and collaborative.** Our structure makes it easy for teams to work together across borders so we can serve our clients with global needs more effectively. Unlike big, siloed companies, we work seamlessly to handle international deals without the headaches of territorial ownership

- **We believe in transparency and trust.** Every month, we share our financials with the team so everyone knows where we stand and what's coming next. It's all about open communication, building trust and empowering every individual to be part of our journey. We don't tell you what to think - we provide the information you need to make your own informed decisions

- **We believe flexibility drives success.** Our company is built on trust, and that's why we embrace fully remote work, and hybrid options in some countries. Forget rigid office routines - it's old school! This flexibility fuels productivity, strengthens our workforce, and ensures we remain agile in a fast-changing world.
