**Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) – Iowa**

**Position Summary**

We are hiring an LISW licensed in Iowa to provide therapy to clients through virtual appointments. You may work with people who are dealing with anxiety, stress, mood concerns, relationship difficulties, or major changes in their lives. This role includes direct counseling, keeping case information current, and using your social work background to consider both the mental health concerns and the personal or social circumstances that may be affecting each client.

**Responsibilities**

-   Provide individual counseling through telehealth
-   Meet with new clients and gather relevant background information
-   Address emotional, behavioral, and situational concerns within your scope of practice
-   Keep clinical notes and required records clear and up to date
-   Recognize when family, social, or practical issues may be affecting care
-   Coordinate with other providers or services when needed
-   Respond appropriately when a client’s situation becomes more urgent
-   Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
-   Follow Iowa LISW licensing and ethical requirements

## Requirements

-   Must hold an active Iowa license in one of the following accepted credentials: Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
-   Background in mental health counseling, psychotherapy, or clinical social work
-   Comfortable using telehealth platforms and digital records
-   Strong written and verbal communication skills
-   Able to work independently while staying organized and client-focused
