We are looking for experienced **Java backend engineers** with strong hands-on expertise in **Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and scalable backend architecture**. The role involves building and reviewing production-grade backend systems, improving reliability and performance, and contributing technically rigorous software outputs that help train next-generation AI systems. **No prior AI experience is required**.

**CONTRACT:** Contractor assignment

**COMMITMENT:** Full-time

**LOCATIONS:** Remote

**NOTES:** Compensation ranges from **$60–$110 per hour**.

**Responsibilities**

-   Design, develop, and maintain scalable **Java backend systems**.
-   Build production-grade services using **Spring Boot**.
-   Architect and implement robust **microservices** for complex application requirements.
-   Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend integrations.
-   Review technical specifications and translate them into reliable implementations.
-   Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend services for performance and stability.
-   Participate in code reviews and provide technically grounded feedback.
-   Improve backend reliability, security, maintainability, and scalability.
-   Document technical decisions, architecture, and implementation details clearly.
-   Collaborate with distributed engineering teams on complex backend development tasks.

## Requirements

-   Strong professional experience with **Java** backend development.
