**Role Overview**

We are looking for an experienced **Semiconductor and Microelectronics Specialist** to analyse device behaviour, review fabrication methods, assess technical data, and explain complex engineering concepts. The work may cover **semiconductor physics, microfabrication, process integration, device modelling, scaling, and reliability**. Previous AI experience is not required.

**CONTRACT: Freelance contractor, project-based**

**COMMITMENT: Flexible, based on project workload**

**LOCATIONS: Fully remote**

**HOURLY RATE: $60-$130/h**

**PROCESS: Application review, subject-matter assessment, and client evaluation**

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Analyse semiconductor device physics and operating principles.
-   Review microfabrication and process-integration methods.
-   Assess device scaling, performance, yield, and reliability considerations.
-   Evaluate materials used in semiconductor and electronic-device fabrication.
-   Interpret technical datasets, research findings, and engineering documentation.
-   Create clear explanations of complex microelectronics concepts.
-   Identify technical gaps, inconsistencies, and unsupported conclusions.
-   Provide structured feedback to improve AI-generated engineering content.
-   Collaborate remotely with other technical contributors.

## Requirements

-   Advanced degree in **Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field**.
-   Professional or research experience in semiconductor devices or microelectronics.
-   Strong knowledge of semiconductor physics, device modelling, or reliability.
-   Experience with fabrication processes, microfabrication, or process integration.
-   Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and accurately.
-   Experience in semiconductor device design, manufacturing, or process development.
-   Background in yield optimisation, failure analysis, or reliability testing.
-   Experience contributing to technical publications, patents, or R&D programmes.
