**Role overview**

Our client is building AI-native products that transform unstructured information into reliable, structured, and actionable data. Their platform combines large language models, multimodal AI, retrieval systems, and evaluation frameworks to power data-intensive workflows and user-facing experiences.

We are looking for a hands-on Senior iOS Engineer with deep expertise in **Swift**, **SwiftUI**, and **camera-centric mobile applications**. This role focuses on building a high-quality guided capture experience that helps users collect photos, videos, audio recordings, documents, and structured information through intuitive mobile workflows. The ideal candidate combines strong mobile engineering fundamentals with excellent product judgment and attention to user experience.

**CONTRACT:** Long-term contractor assignment

**COMMITMENT:** Full-time with minimum 4 hours overlap with New York working hours

**LOCATION:** Remote

**NOTES: Previous experience working in BigTech company (Amazon, Google, Meta, Apple, Microsoft, Netflix, …) is mandatory!**

### **Responsibilities**

-   Design and develop **native iOS applications** using Swift and SwiftUI
-   Build **guided multi-step capture workflows** with validation, sequencing, and completion checks
-   Develop camera-heavy experiences involving photo capture, video recording, and document scanning
-   Implement **offline-first mobile workflows** with synchronization and recovery mechanisms
-   Build robust upload systems with retries, progress tracking, and poor-network handling
-   Integrate backend APIs and collaborate on service contracts and data models
-   Implement quality validation workflows for captured media and structured user inputs
-   Drive architectural decisions focused on scalability, maintainability, and performance
-   Handle edge cases related to permissions, uploads, interrupted sessions, and media processing
-   Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Platform Engineering teams

## Requirements

-   7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on **iOS development**
-   Expert-level proficiency in **Swift** and **SwiftUI**
-   Strong experience building production mobile applications using **AVFoundation**
-   Experience delivering camera-heavy workflows involving image, video, or document capture
-   Experience building **offline-first mobile applications**
-   Strong understanding of mobile architecture, state management, and application performance
-   Experience integrating REST APIs and backend services
-   Ability to independently own features from design through production deployment
-   Previous experience at companies such as Google, Apple, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, Uber, Airbnb, Stripe, or similar technology organizations

Preferred Qualifications

-   Experience with **VisionKit**, **Vision Framework**, OCR, or document scanning solutions
-   Experience with speech recognition or on-device transcription workflows
-   Experience with media processing, compression, and image optimization
-   Experience with CoreBluetooth integrations
-   Backend development experience or exposure to full-stack engineering
-   Experience building products related to inspections, identity verification, field operations, logistics, or data collection workflows
