**Role Overview**

We are looking for an experienced **Mechanical Design and CAD Specialist** to review engineering models and drawings, assess manufacturability, and develop realistic design scenarios. The work combines **3D modelling, GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM, engineering mechanics, and manufacturing knowledge**. Previous AI experience is not required.

**CONTRACT: Freelance contractor, output-based assignment**

**COMMITMENT: Flexible workload with minimum weekly task submission requirements**

**LOCATIONS: Fully remote - GLOBAL**

**PROCESS: Application review, technical assessment, and client evaluation**

**NOTES: Contributors are paid per accepted task. Selected experts should be available to begin within 24–48 hours after onboarding.**

**Responsibilities**

-   Review mechanical parts, assemblies, and 3D CAD models.
-   Evaluate engineering drawings for accuracy and manufacturing readiness.
-   Assess the correct application of **GD&T and tolerance specifications**.
-   Recommend improvements based on Design for Manufacturability principles.
-   Analyse tolerance stack-ups, fit, function, and assembly constraints.
-   Develop realistic mechanical design and manufacturing scenarios.
-   Review geometric representations of components and systems.
-   Explain engineering mechanics, tribology, and design decisions clearly.
-   Provide structured feedback to improve AI-generated engineering content.

## Requirements

-   Degree in **Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field**.
-   Professional experience in mechanical or production design.
-   Strong proficiency with CAD platforms such as **SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar**.
-   Practical knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM.
-   Experience creating production-ready parts, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
