## Description

GLI is seeking a highly skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our leading healthcare team. In this demanding and rewarding role, you will perform advanced surgical procedures on the heart, lungs, esophagus, and other organs within the chest cavity to treat various cardiothoracic conditions.

You will manage patient care from initial consultation through postoperative recovery, ensuring exemplary surgical outcomes and compassionate care. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practices and patient safety.

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery, hold a valid medical license, and be a U.S. Citizen or hold Green Card.

### Schedule

**Onsite Clinical Coverage**

-   Monday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
-   Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

**Clinical Case Review**

-   Friday: 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM

**On-Call Coverage**

-   Shared weekday, weekend, holiday, and emergency call coverage with a second Cardiothoracic Surgeon.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities:

-   The physician shall have a minimum of four (4) years of recent experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
-   Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures with expertise and precision.
-   Conduct thorough preoperative evaluations and develop individualized surgical plans.
-   Oversee comprehensive postoperative care and monitor patient recovery.
-   Collaborate with anesthesiology, nursing, and other specialty teams to deliver integrated patient care.
-   Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.

### Minimum Requirements:

-   M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
-   Board certification or eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
-   Valid medical license to practice in the state.
-   Proven surgical experience and knowledge of the latest cardiothoracic surgical techniques.
-   Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
-   Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality clinical care.
-   U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder required,
