**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Diagnose complex medical problems by referring to a patient’s history, examining them, and conducting neurological tests.
-   Counsel patients on neurological disorders and their backgrounds.
-   Order neurological tests and interpret the results of neuroimaging studies.
-   Prescribe and/or administer treatment and medication.
-   Monitor the behavioral and cognitive side effects of treatment and medication.

## Requirements

**Qualifications:**

-   **Education:** MD degree from an accredited medical school.
-   **Licensure:** Must have an active New York State medical license. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
-   **Technical Skills:** Proficient in performing and interpreting lumbar punctures, electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) tests. Skilled in neuroimaging interpretation.
-   **Soft Skills:** Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other medical professionals.
