For our Vineland, New Jersey warehouse, we are looking for an HR Generalist with a strong compliance background to join our team, serve as the go-to HR resource for our warehouse population, ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, and report to Trucco’s HR Lead. If you're hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable being on the floor with a frontline workforce, with a genuine interest in employment law and compliance, this is the opportunity for you! ### Key Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary on-site HR point of contact for the Vineland warehouse, supporting a diverse, frontline workforce; • Ensure compliance with federal, New Jersey state, and local employment law, including wage and hour regulations, NJ Earned Sick Leave, NJ Family Leave, WARN Act, workers’ compensation, and OSHA requirements; • Lead and coordinate social audits for the facility, ensuring readiness and compliance with all applicable standards and requirements; • Review and audit worker classification (exempt/non-exempt, employee/contractor) to ensure compliance and mitigate risk; • Support benefits administration and compliance, including ACA requirements and leave of absence management (FMLA and state equivalents); • Maintain and update employee handbook, policies, and procedures in line with current regulations; • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution, in partnership with local management; • Support full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for warehouse staff; • Audit payroll data, timesheets, and employee records to ensure accuracy and compliance; • Partner with the HR Lead and leadership team on the broader build-out of HR processes, policies, and infrastructure for the US organization; • Conduct required compliance training (e.g., harassment prevention, safety) for the warehouse population. ## Requirements •2+ years of HR Generalist experience, with a strong focus on compliance; • Solid working knowledge of New Jersey employment law; multi-state experience a plus; • Experience supporting a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or other frontline/operational workforce strongly preferred; • Experience with worker classification, wage and hour compliance, and benefits/leave administration; • Prior experience leading or supporting social audits strongly preferred; • PHR/SHRM-CP certification a plus; • Spanish fluency a strong plus, given the composition of the warehouse workforce; • Strong communication skills and comfort being visible and present on the floor; • Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Paycom). ## Benefits **What We Offer:** - A hands-on role at the heart of Trucco's growing HR function, with real ownership from day one; - Close mentorship from the Director of Human Resources and exposure to Gruppo Orsero's broader HR organization; - A dynamic, international working environment with strong ties across Europe; - Salary Range: $60,000 – $78,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.
