**Workplace:** on_site

**Department:** Operations

## Description

**Hello #TruccoPeople!**

Trucco is a family-owned importer and nationwide distributor of fresh produce, dried fruits and nuts. Founded in 1937 and headquartered at the Hunts Point Terminal Market (Bronx, NY), we operate a 200,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Vineland, NJ. Our programs include kiwifruit, citrus, grapes, chestnuts and more, sourced worldwide for year-round supply. Trucco is part of Orsero Group, one of Europe's leading fresh produce distributors.

**The role**
As we grow in the Southeast and on the West Coast, we pack and ship from partner 3PL facilities, and we want our own people on the floor. You will be Trucco on site: you will run daily production at our 3PL partner's facility, make sure every case meets our standards and our customers' specs, and bring the same quality, care and attention to detail our customers get from Vineland.

What you'll do
• **Run the floor**. Plan the daily pack schedule with the 3PL team, direct floor activity and make sure orders are packed on time and in the right volumes.

• **Bring the Trucco standard**. Be Trucco's eyes and voice at the facility. Train 3PL staff on our packing standards and procedures, and make sure they are consistently applied.

• **Monitor fruit quality**. Inspect fruit on arrival and throughout production for condition, sizing, defects and temperature, and flag issues before they reach a customer.

• **Pack to spec**. Confirm every order matches the customer's spec for pack style, count, weight, labels and traceability codes.

• **Stay connected**. Work with the Account Manager, Account Coordinators, Logistics and QA on orders, ship times, quality holds and claims.

• **Keep it safe and documented**. Enforce food safety and GMP practices, and report daily on production, yields, shrink and quality, with photos when needed.

## Requirements

• 5+ years supervising production in a produce packing or repacking operation.

• Hands-on fruit quality control experience and a sharp eye for defects and condition.

• Experience packing to retail customer specs, including labeling and traceability requirements.

• Ability to lead and influence crews you don't directly manage, firmly and respectfully.

• Familiarity with food safety programs (GMP, HACCP or GFSI) and cold chain practices.

• Flexible schedule for early starts, weekends and seasonal peaks; comfortable in a cold, fast-paced environment.

• Bilingual English/Spanish.

• Nice to have: experience with kiwifruit.

## Benefits

• Salary of $62,000 – $72,000 per year;

• Health, dental and vision insurance;

• 401(k);

• Paid time off;

• The stability of a family-owned company with nearly 90 years in produce, backed by an international group.
