# Product Engineer - Calypso

## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled **Calypso Product Engineer** with strong expertise in treasury and capital markets systems. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with **Calypso architecture, APIs, and trade lifecycle**, along with solid programming skills in **Java** and database experience in **Oracle**.

### **Key Responsibilities**

-   Design, develop, and support solutions within the **Calypso platform**
-   Work closely with front office, middle office, and back office teams to implement business requirements
-   Customize and enhance Calypso modules including **Workstation, Pricing Sheets, and workflows**
-   Develop and integrate **Calypso APIs and REST-based services**
-   Handle **trade lifecycle processes** including trade capture, validation, settlement, accounting, and reporting
-   Work on **scheduled tasks, engines, and batch processing**
-   Collaborate on **real-time integrations** using **FIX / Kafka**
-   Provide support for system enhancements, upgrades, and production issues

### **Required Skills & Experience**

-   Minimum **5+ years of hands-on experience with Calypso**
-   Strong understanding of **Calypso architecture and APIs**
-   Solid experience in **Core Java development**
-   Good working knowledge of **Oracle Database (SQL/PL-SQL)**
-   Experience with **REST API frameworks and integrations**
-   Strong understanding of **trade lifecycle in capital markets**
-   Experience with **front office modules** (Calypso Workstation, Pricing Sheets)

### **Domain Knowledge**

-   Strong understanding of **Equity products**
-   Good exposure to **Treasury products**, including:

-   FX / Money Markets (MM)
-   Bonds
-   Repo
-   Interest Rate Swaps (IRS)
-   Cross Currency Swaps (CCS)
-   Credit Default Swaps (CDS)

### **Additional (Good to Have)**

-   Experience with **Calypso Risk / ERS modules**
-   Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as **SA-CCR, FRTB**
-   Familiarity with **real-time data streaming (Kafka)**

### **Soft Skills**

-   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
