**Workplace:** on_site

**Department:** Replacement

## Description

**Role Overview**

We are seeking an experienced, process-driven Finance Manager to lead Finance & Accounting operations in our Gurugram-based Shared Services Centre, supporting stakeholders across the UK, Europe and the US. The role combines strong technical accounting and people leadership with ownership of operational performance, financial controls and continuous improvement.

A central mandate is to critically assess how work is performed; design, document, implement, stabilise and mature end-to-end processes; identify and eliminate redundant or non-value-adding activities; and deliver measurable gains in productivity, accuracy, cost efficiency and service quality. Excellent written and spoken English is essential. The Gurugram office operates Monday to Friday.

**Key Responsibilities**

Finance Operations and Service Delivery

- Lead end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Record-to-Report (RTR), General Ledger, intercompany and bank reconciliations, and month-end close activities, meeting accuracy, completeness and timeliness requirements.
- Manage team workloads, priorities, service levels and escalations; develop team capability and foster an open, accountable and improvement-oriented working culture.
- Maintain effective financial controls, quality assurance, compliance with internal policies and audit readiness; support internal and external audits and close corrective actions promptly.
- Partner with country finance teams, controllers and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues, improve handoffs and deliver reliable services.
- Process Design, Documentation and Implementation
- Own the full process lifecycle: discovery and assessment, current-state mapping, future-state design, documentation, approval, implementation, transition, stabilisation and ongoing maturation.
- Map end-to-end workflows, dependencies, decision points, handoffs, controls and responsibilities; create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, process maps, RACI matrices and process governance documentation.
- Design streamlined, standardised and scalable processes, balancing efficient execution with regulatory requirements, financial integrity and proportionate controls.
- Lead rollout of redesigned processes, including stakeholder alignment, testing, training, knowledge transfer, change management and handover into business-as-usual operations.
- Monitor post-implementation performance, resolve defects and control gaps, and establish periodic reviews to progressively improve process maturity and resilience.
- Efficiency, Simplification and Continuous Improvement
- Critically challenge established practices and assess whether each process step, approval, report, reconciliation or manual intervention adds value or serves a necessary control purpose.
- Identify duplicated effort, redundant controls, unnecessary approvals, repetitive data entry, avoidable rework, inefficient handoffs and local variations; eliminate non-value-adding work or redesign it for greater efficiency.
- Lead business process re-engineering and standardisation across supported business units, retaining local variations only where justified by law or genuine business need.
- Prioritise process simplification and elimination of unnecessary steps before applying ERP enhancements, workflow automation and digital tools.
- Establish baseline measures and track outcomes including cycle times, error and rework rates, on-time delivery, cost per transaction, manual effort, productivity per FTE and capacity released; report quantifiable benefits and sustain improvements.
- Build a culture of constructive challenge in which team members regularly identify inefficiencies, propose practical solutions and own implementation of improvements.

## Requirements

- At least five years of experience in Finance Shared Services, Global Business Services (GBS) or accounting operations, including responsibility for finance process delivery.
- Strong technical knowledge of AP, AR, RTR, General Ledger, month-end close, reconciliations and financial controls.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience across the complete process lifecycle, including process mapping, design, SOP documentation, implementation, transition, stabilisation and maturity improvement.
- Evidence of eliminating redundant tasks, simplifying workflows or re-engineering processes with measurable gains in efficiency, service quality, cost or capacity.
- A questioning, analytical mindset and sound judgement to distinguish necessary controls from unnecessary bureaucracy; ability to challenge existing ways of working constructively.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite or comparable systems, and practical exposure to workflow optimisation and automation.
- Knowledge of Lean, continuous improvement, business process re-engineering or process excellence methods is desirable.
- Ability to establish KPIs, performance baselines, process governance and sustainable improvement routines.
- Strong leadership, coaching, stakeholder influencing, problem-solving, change management and cross-functional project delivery skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English, including presentation skills; adaptability, organisation and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Flexibility to work shifts aligned with international stakeholders; specific hours to be confirmed.
- **Success Measures**
- Reliable delivery of finance operations against agreed service levels and month-end deadlines.
- Current, approved and consistently followed SOPs and process ownership across in-scope activities.
- Documented reductions in redundant steps, manual effort, cycle time, errors and rework.
- Successful implementation and stabilisation of redesigned processes, with measurable and sustained productivity improvements.
- Effective financial controls, timely remediation of audit findings and positive stakeholder service outcomes.
