## Description

**Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) — Full-Time, Hopkinsville**

**$90,000 a year, salaried. $5,000 sign-on bonus. Full-time, on site in Hopkinsville, KY.**

**About Harbor Behavioral Health Harbor Behavioral Health**

HBH is a community-based behavioral health organization rooted in Lexington, Kentucky, with a growing presence in Hopkinsville. We provide structured, team-based services to adults with serious mental health needs, most of whom live in personal care homes, with a focus on building independence, stability and meaningful community connection. Our Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program (TRP) pairs licensed clinical staff with Peer Support Specialists in a collaborative, recovery-focused model.

**The Job**

We're hiring a full-time LCSW for our Hopkinsville program. You'll be on site five days a week. We set your days together, in writing, and one can be a weekend day. No after-hours work, no on-call and no productivity quota.

**What you'd actually do**

- Lead groups and spend real time with clients at our program.
- Do intakes, including visits to the personal care homes where our clients live.
- Own the clinical side of each client's record: assessments, treatment plans, documentation, prior authorizations and renewals, and calls with insurance reviewers.
- Work alongside our Peer Support Specialists. Our Hopkinsville site lead runs your performance reviews, and you'll work directly with Harbor's owner.
- Use our note checker and other AI tools, which make the paperwork fast.

**How this job will change (we put this in writing)**

We're growing, so we tell you up front how this job will change:

- The clinical work for our Hopkinsville clients always comes first.
- While that work is lighter, you'll lead groups at our program.
- When our Lexington program needs help, including some weekends, you'll cover its clinical work, mostly remotely, with travel paid when you go.
- If a wave of new clients arrives, intakes come first.

## Requirements

**What you need**

- An active, unrestricted Kentucky LCSW license, today. We can't wait on a new license or a transfer from another state.
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance
- Comfort using AI tools in your daily work (drafting, organizing, summarizing)
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment and documentation skills

- Ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team

**A plus**

- Experience working with adults with serious mental illness
- Familiarity with Kentucky Medicaid documentation and prior authorizations
- Already enrolled with Kentucky Medicaid and credentialed with the Medicaid health plans. If you're not, we start that paperwork the day you accept.

_Newly licensed LCSWs are encouraged to apply._

_Employment is contingent on successful completion of all HBH pre-employment requirements, including background, registry and federal exclusion checks; drug and health screenings; license and education verification; and reference checks._

## Benefits

Pay and benefits

- $90,000 a year, salaried
- $5,000 sign-on bonus: $2,500 at 30 days and $2,500 at 90 days, nothing to pay back
- $5,000 a year for continuing education, license and certification costs, and conferences
- Employer-sponsored health insurance, with optional dental and vision coverage
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- Mileage paid for work travel at the IRS rate; lodging and meals when you cover Lexington overnight

**How we operate**

We hold four things seriously here. We take real responsibility instead of pointing at circumstances when something goes sideways. We stay curious in disagreement instead of digging in. We say the true thing directly to the person it concerns instead of managing around them. And we keep our agreements, or renegotiate them out loud the moment we can't, instead of letting things quietly slide. If that's how you already try to work, you'll fit fast.
