## Description

Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) — a world-renowned education and poverty-ﬁghting organization based in New York — seeks a highly-driven, creative, multi-talented **Assistant Director, Content Production**. 

The Assistant Director, Content Production will join our Communications Team at the forefront of innovation at HCZ. The individual will be a skilled producer, project manager, videographer, video editor, and photographer who will help lead a team that creates a range of content promoting the work and impact of HCZ, both locally and nationally.

### What you’ll do

Reporting to the Director, Content Production, the Assistant Director, Content Production will help lead the Content Production Team (part of the larger Communication Team) and support the end-to-end creation of a range of content to advance our key priorities: brand awareness, scholar enrollment, talent recruitment, thought leadership, staff culture, and fundraising. They will ensure that content is optimized for distribution on our various marketing platforms, including website, social media, email marketing, digital and print advertising, as well as marquee national conferences and events. Some physical work, including transporting equipment to and from shoots, and travel, is required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

-   Lead the end-to-end production of video and photography projects, including but not limited to: creative concepting, timelines, budgets, scheduling, shoot set up, video and photography capture, stakeholder coordination, and post production and editing
-   Help oversee a team of content producers and their projects, ensuring effective management and timely completion of deliverables
-   Own the post production workﬂow on all projects
-   Provide line production support, including on- screen talent outreach and prepping production documents and schedules prior to shoots
-   Attend and manage all video and photography shoots
-   Capture video of and photograph organizational events, interviews, and other productions
-   Develop engaging motion graphics to enhance video content and branding
-   Ensure all visual assets meet brand standards and storytelling goals

## Requirements

-   At least 7-10 years’ experience working in video/media production and/or project management
-   Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and be ﬂexible with shifting schedules and assignments
-   Strong post-production video management knowledge
-   Knowledgeable of all social media platforms and have a strong understanding of content formatting for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok
-   Proﬁciency in Frame.io, Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects) and Final Cut - within a Mac environment
-   Highly driven and energetic, proactive and takes initiative
-   Superior organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills
-   Highly collaborative with strong verbal and written skills
-   Experience working at social impact organizations is a plus
-   Bachelor’s degree required
-   Able to work some weekends
-   Able to travel outside of New York City and the state for some assignments
