# Accounting Specialist - Insurance Sector

## Description

Hatzi Filax Group, on behalf of its client , is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager.

The role **reports directly to the CEO and requires previous experience or strong knowledge of the insurance sector.**

**Key Responsibilities**

-   **Oversee daily accounting operations and financial records**
-   **Manage invoices, accounting entries, receivables, and payables**
-   **Perform bank and General Ledger reconciliations**
-   **Monitor insurance commissions, settlements, and balances with insurance companies**
-   **Support monthly and annual financial closing**
-   **Prepare financial reports for management**
-   **Ensure compliance with Greek Accounting Standards and accounting procedures**
-   **Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls**

## Requirements

-   **Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field**
-   **3–5+ years of accounting experience**
-   **Previous experience in the insurance sector is essential**
-   **Good knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards (ELP)**
-   **Strong Excel and accounting/ERP software skills**
-   **Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills**
-   **Ability to work independently and take ownership of the accounting function**
-   **Good command of English**
