### About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life

This opportunity is designed for an OB/GYN who enjoys the pace and clinical variety of Labor & Delivery but prefers a structured hospital-based practice without outpatient clinic responsibilities.

You will manage both routine and high-risk obstetric cases, including labor management, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, inpatient consultations, and emergency OB/GYN evaluations. The high-acuity environment provides meaningful exposure to complex cases while maintaining a clear inpatient scope.

You will work alongside nursing, neonatology, anesthesia, maternal-fetal medicine, and other specialists, with advanced obstetric technology and multidisciplinary resources available to support patient care.

When your scheduled shift ends, there are no clinic responsibilities or take-home call requirements.

### Job Duties & Responsibilities

-   Manage low- and high-risk labor and deliveries
-   Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care
-   Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
-   Manage obstetric emergencies and perform emergent gynecologic procedures as clinically appropriate
-   Provide inpatient OB/GYN consultations
-   Evaluate OB/GYN patients presenting through the emergency department
-   Collaborate closely with nursing, anesthesia, neonatology, maternal-fetal medicine, and other clinical teams
-   Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care and treatment
-   Complete timely and accurate documentation in the EMR
-   Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

### Required Qualifications

-   MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
-   Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
-   Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency
-   Active Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start
-   Strong clinical, communication, and collaborative skills

### Preferred Qualifications

-   Previous OB/GYN Hospitalist experience or experience in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery setting
-   Competency in emergency obstetric and gynecologic surgical procedures
