**International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A.** is currently looking for a:

**Compliance Officer**

**Responsibilities**

-   Develops and maintains the regulatory compliance framework, policies, procedures and annual compliance programme.
-   Maintains a structured register of legal, regulatory, contractual and internal obligations.
-   Monitors relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and aviation-related obligations.
-   Conducts risk-based compliance reviews, inspections and thematic assessments.
-   Advises Management and employees on the Code of Business Conduct, conflicts of interest, anti-bribery, gifts and hospitality, fair competition and third-party integrity.
-   Coordinates or supports objective and appropriately documented investigations into suspected compliance breaches.
-   Monitors corrective actions, responsible owners and agreed deadlines.
-   Develops and delivers compliance training and awareness activities.
-   Prepares reports for Management, the Audit & Risk Management Committee and the Board of Directors.
-   Supports appropriate due diligence and compliance controls for suppliers, contractors and other business partners.
-   Maintains secure compliance records and protects confidential and personal information.

**Requirements**

-   Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
-   Postgraduate qualification in Compliance, Corporate Governance, Business Ethics, Risk Management or a related field would be considered an asset.
-   Relevant professional certification would be considered an asset.
-   At least 7 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, corporate governance, legal, audit or risk-related roles.
-   Experience in a regulated, infrastructure, aviation, transport, concession, construction or other complex operational environment is highly desirable.
-   Demonstrated experience in developing or operating compliance frameworks, monitoring programmes and management reporting.
-   Experience interacting with senior management, governance committees or Boards of Directors.
-   Strong knowledge of compliance management principles and corporate governance practices.
-   Excellent command of written and spoken Greek and English.
-   Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance-management tools.
