**Salary:** USD 70,000–80,000

**Workplace:** hybrid

**Department:** The CAM Collective

## Description

### About The CAM Collective (TCC)

The CAM Collective (TCC) is a holding company that acquires and supports community association management Member Companies across the country. TCC gives its Member Companies real infrastructure, real support, and real people.

### The Role

The HR Generalist owns the day-to-day administration of HR for a population of roughly 100 to 115 employees — about 50 at TCC internal and 50+ across the service Member Companies. This person runs Rippling as its primary administrator, owns benefits administration end-to-end, keeps the compliance calendar on track, and processes every onboarding, termination, and employee change that moves through the system. Reports to Kelly Franco, Director of People.

### What You'll Do

- Own day-to-day Rippling administration for TCC internal and service MC employees, including new hires, terminations, employee changes, and reporting.
- Run the administrative side of onboarding for all TCC and service MC hires: offer paperwork, I-9 and E-Verify, benefits enrollment, and Rippling setup.
- Own benefits administration end-to-end: open enrollment, new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, and vendor coordination.
- Maintain the recurring compliance calendar — ACA reporting, I-9 maintenance, workers' comp audits, and 401(k) audit prep — partnering with TCC Finance where the work overlaps.
- Build and maintain automated Rippling workflows, including responsible use of AI, to reduce manual processing over time.
- Keep personnel files, org charts, and HR documentation organized and audit-ready across multiple entities and states.
- Serve as the first point of contact for TCC and service MC employees on benefits questions, payroll changes, and general HR admin.
- Support the MC People Partner with template creation, toolbox organization, and new-MC compliance intake.

## Requirements

- 5 to 7 years of hands-on HR experience in a multi-entity, multi-state environment.
- 2+ years administering a modern HRIS (Rippling, Workday, BambooHR, Paylocity, ADP, UKG, or similar) as a system administrator, not just an end user.
- Experience supporting employees across 2+ legal entities and 3+ U.S. states, with working knowledge of multi-state payroll and compliance implications.
- Hands-on experience with compliance processes such as ACA reporting, I-9/E-Verify maintenance, workers' comp audits, or 401(k) audit prep.
- Working knowledge of the full HR admin cycle: onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, payroll changes, and personnel file management.
- Comfortable partnering directly with Finance on payroll and audit coordination.
- Proactive, direct, and organized — able to close a backlog and build workflows that don't exist yet without waiting for a perfect process.

Nice to Have

- PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
- Experience using AI responsibly in an HR context — automation, drafting, data cleanup, employee-facing communications.
- Background in real estate, HOA/community association management, or another highly regulated industry such as banking.

### Location

- Chicago, IL — Hybrid.

## Benefits

- Base salary: $70,000 to $80,000.
- Annual bonus target: 5%.
- A hybrid position in the Chicagoland area.  Occasional travel for company events is required.
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Opportunities for professional growth and development.
- A dynamic and collaborative work environment.
- Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
- Short-term Disability and Life Insurance
