## Description

We are hiring a highly capable AI Engineer to join our growing team and work directly with our current AI lead to rapidly scale internal AI systems, automation workflows, and product integrations.

This role is critical because we need someone who can quickly absorb technical knowledge, contribute independently, and help remove operational bottlenecks across ongoing AI initiatives.

We are specifically looking for engineers who are strong builders, comfortable working in fast-moving environments, and already have hands-on experience with modern automation and AI infrastructure.

### Role Overview

You will work on:

-   AI-powered workflow automation
-   Backend integrations
-   Agentic systems and orchestration
-   Internal AI tooling
-   API integrations
-   Cloud infrastructure and data workflows

You’ll collaborate closely with technical leadership and will be expected to take ownership of systems quickly.

This is an execution-heavy role suited for someone who enjoys solving practical engineering problems and shipping production-ready solutions fast.

### Responsibilities

-   Build and maintain AI automations and workflows
-   Develop backend services and API integrations
-   Work with cloud-based AI/data infrastructure
-   Maintain and improve n8n workflows
-   Support knowledge transfer from the current AI engineering lead
-   Help document and stabilize internal systems
-   Collaborate with product and engineering teams to rapidly ship features

### Work Arrangement

-   Open to both Part-Time and Full-Time candidates
-   Part-time commitment can be approximately 4 hours per day
-   Candidate should be available to work from the office regularly
-   Flexible hybrid setup with 1 work-from-home day per week

## Requirements

-   Currently pursuing or completed a Masters degree (preferably from University of Moratuwa)

-   Experience with:

-   LLMs and AI agents
-   LangChain / agent frameworks
-   AI workflow orchestration
-   Prompt engineering
-   Vector databases
-   Automation pipelines
-   Docker / containerized deployments

### Mandatory Requirements

### Strong experience in:

-   Python
-   n8n (previous hands-on production experience is mandatory)
-   REST APIs & integrations
-   Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
-   BigQuery
-   MCP servers / AI infrastructure
-   Git/version control workflows

### You should also:

-   Be comfortable debugging and improving existing systems
-   Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
-   Have strong problem-solving ability
-   Be eager to learn quickly and take ownership
