## Description

We have committed that Alpha should always be free for the church, organisations, and individuals so that guests can discover and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ for free. Alpha is almost entirely funded by the generosity of philanthropic Christians who share our vision and passion to see lives transformed when they encounter Jesus in the Holy Spirit. The Global Fund Development Team is responsible for raising funds to enable the growth and development of Alpha’s global ministry.

The Alpha Ambassador will make a key contribution to this by supporting the President and key senior staff of Alpha International in sharing the vision of Alpha and raising funds to support that vision. The Alpha Ambassador will be able to effectively communicate the vision and strategy for Alpha and confidently interact with potential donors. The Alpha Ambassador will also support ad hoc projects like LC27 and Alpha’s 50th celebration.

Applications for this role will close on **Wednesday 23rd September.** This is a part-time, 0.25 FTE a week role.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

Meetings support and Relationship Management

-   Accompany the President and/or senior staff of Alpha International in meetings with key Alpha contacts.
-   Meet with key Alpha contacts on their own where required. Meeting donors on a Sunday at HTB is a key part of the role.
-   Before each meeting, be thoroughly prepared which might include doing research, and obtaining updates and agendas from the team.
-   After each meeting, produce clear and detailed notes capturing key discussion points, actions, and outcomes for upload to Salesforce.
-   Support the drafting of timely and thoughtful follow-up and thank-you communications to meeting attendees.
-   In public forums and at events able to speak compellingly about the vision of Alpha.

Ad hoc projects

-   Provide support to the Executive Teams and Global Fund Development team on key projects, including LC27 and Alpha’s 50th celebration and more.

-   Committed to the 2033 vision of Alpha: helping people discover & develop a relationship with Jesus.
-   Culturally aligned with Alpha and HTB Group.
-   Highly relational and able to develop donor relationships.
-   High degree of credibility with donors and prospective donors, able to operate confidently in interactions with key stakeholders.
-   Self-aware and demonstrates a high level of emotional intelligence in all interactions.
-   Professional, discreet and able to put aside their own views and agenda in interacting with donors.
-   Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-   Personable, warm and welcoming.
-   Understanding of Salesforce or similar fundraising database or willingness to learn.
-   Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications and other similar IT tools.
