## Description

Our partner, a fast-growing Greek IoT company, is looking for a **Technical Support Engineer** to join their operations and field support team. The ideal candidate will support hardware devices and platform functionality, ensuring smooth integration and reliable operation of our smart infrastructure solutions — such as smart waste management, fleet tracking, and sensor networks.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Provide **1st Level Support** to end customers and partners via e-mail and phone
-   Offer **instructions and technical guidance** to end users
-   Perform **technical administration** and manage incidents using internal tools or ticketing platforms
-   Provide **technical support** for IoT devices and connectivity issues (GSM, APNs, signal quality, diagnostics)
-   **Configure and test** IoT devices and integrate them with cloud platforms
-   Support the **Order-to-Delivery lifecycle** (parameterization, technical installations, training)
-   Provide **2nd Level Support** and troubleshoot complex issues
-   **Monitor system health** and proactively identify root causes of software malfunctions
-   Collaborate with cross-functional teams and **support field engineers** to resolve issues in the lab or on-site
-   Participate in **hardware testing, firmware updates,** and **pilot rollouts**

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree in **IT, Electronics, or related technical field**
-   **3–5 years of experience** in tech support, embedded systems, or IoT environments
-   Strong ability to **understand and address customer needs**
-   Familiarity with **physical diagnostics** (signal, wiring, connectivity, sensor behavior)
-   **Basic networking knowledge** (TCP/IP, UDP, connectivity checks, port/connection testing)
-   Experience with **network analysis tools** (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump) and basic connection testing tools (telnet, ssh)
-   Ability to **extract, manipulate, and analyze log data**
-   **Good knowledge of SQL** and relational databases, including **basic administration tasks** (backups, restores, indexing, user permissions)
-   **Strong communication skills** in Greek and English (written and verbal)
-   Comfortable working across **cross-functional teams**

**Nice to Have**

-   Previous experience in smart city, IoT, or embedded device deployment
-   Familiarity with diagnostic tools, firmware flashing, system administration
-   Basic scripting experience (e.g. Bash or Python)
