Job Role: Digital Content Specialist (Part-time)

Compensation range: $1,200 AUD - $1,500 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to require roughly **20 hours per week**. As a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your schedule, but availability for occasional collaboration during AU business hours is preferred.

Who The Client Is: Our client is a boutique Australian property and finance advisory firm that works closely with individuals, families, and investors to help them make informed decisions around lending, wealth, property, and long-term financial goals. With a relationship-driven approach, they provide tailored guidance and practical solutions, focusing on delivering a high level of service and ongoing support to their clients.

Role Overview: We’re looking for a Digital Content Specialist to help build and manage its content engine across podcasting, video, and social media. This is a hands-on role where you will research trending topics in property and finance, plan content, edit video and podcast episodes, create static graphics and social media assets, and manage content publishing across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can bring ideas to the table and execute them independently.

**Key Responsibilities:** 

Video Editing and Podcast Production

-   Edit podcast episodes, including multi-camera and talking head formats
-   Add data overlays, images, and visual elements to video content as the host is speaking to enhance viewer engagement
-   Produce short-form clips and highlights from longer podcast episodes for social media distribution
-   Explore and adopt AI-powered video editing tools (such as Gemini Omni or similar) to create cinematic, high-quality content

Content Research and Strategy

-   Research property and finance forums, social media groups, and online communities to identify trending topics, common questions, and content opportunities
-   Develop a content calendar with topic ideas and a publishing schedule across platforms
-   Proactively bring content ideas and suggestions based on what is resonating with audiences in the property and finance space

Social Media Content Creation and Management

-   Create, manage, and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
-   Design static graphics, carousel posts, thumbnails, and promotional assets.
-   Write captions and optimise content for each platform, including aspect ratios, hashtags, and post formats.
-   Monitor engagement and provide insights on content performance and audience trends.
-   Maintain a consistent posting cadence aligned with the content calendar.

## Requirements

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

-   3+ years of experience in video editing, image and content creation, or digital media production
-   Strong video editing skills with experience in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
-   Experience editing long-form video content and creating short-form clips for social media
-   Solid understanding of social media platforms and best practices for organic content
-   Ability to learn new software and AI tools quickly and independently
-   Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
-   Proactive and self-directed, comfortable working autonomously and bringing ideas to the table
-   Reliable internet connection and own equipment

**Nice to Haves**

-   Experience with Riverside or similar podcast recording platforms
-   Familiarity with AI video editing tools (Gemini Omni, Opus Clip, Descript, or similar)
-   Interest in or knowledge of property investment, mortgage broking, or personal finance
-   Experience with Canva or basic graphic design for social media assets
-   Previous experience with podcasting.
-   Previous experience working with Australian clients or businesses

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that may be set up as either an independent contractor engagement or via an Employer of Record (EOR), depending on client preferences and legal structure.
