**Job Role:** Adviser Associate

**Compensation range:** $2,300 AUD - $2,750 AUD / Monthly

**Engagement type:** Independent Contractor Agreement

**Work Schedule:** This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

**Who The Client Is:** A well-established financial advisory firm based in Australia that provides tailored wealth management and financial planning services. The business works closely with individuals and families to help them build, protect, and manage their financial future through structured advice, long-term planning, and ongoing client relationships.

**Role Overview:** We are looking for an experienced Adviser Associate to support an Australian financial planning practice that specialises in retirement planning, wealth management, and superannuation advice.

This role is ideal for someone with strong Australian financial planning experience who enjoys working behind the scenes to help advisers deliver high-quality advice. You will support the advice process from strategy preparation through to implementation, ensuring documentation is accurate, compliant, and completed efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities:** 

-   Prepare strategic advice briefs before client meetings.
-   Review client information, previous advice documents, and CRM records.
-   Develop financial strategy recommendations with the adviser.
-   Prepare detailed paraplanning briefs for external paraplanners.
-   Draft simple Records of Advice (ROAs) where appropriate.
-   Review Statements of Advice (SOAs) and ROAs for quality, accuracy, and compliance.
-   Monitor the progress of advice documents from preparation through implementation.
-   Review implementation paperwork before submission.
-   Update and maintain client records in Xplan.
-   Liaise with advisers, paraplanners, product providers, and clients as required.
-   Support continuous process improvements, including the use of AI tools and automation.
-   Mentor junior team members as the business grows.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

-   Minimum 5 years of experience in an Australian financial planning environment as an Adviser Associate, Senior Paraplanner, or similar role.
-   Strong knowledge of Australian financial planning, including:

-   Superannuation
-   Retirement planning
-   Investments
-   Centrelink
-   Insurance

-   Experience using Xplan.
-   Ability to prepare strategy recommendations and review advice documents.
-   Strong understanding of compliance requirements within Australian financial advice.
-   Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
-   High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

**Nice to Haves:**

-   RG146 or Diploma of Financial Planning qualification.
-   Experience using XTools, WealthSolver, Intelliflo, or ProductREX.
-   Leadership or mentoring experience.
-   Experience with AI-assisted workflows or financial planning technology.
