**Job Role:** Remote Lighting Design Technician

**Compensation range:** $2,000 AUD - $2,800 AUD / Monthly

**Engagement type:** Independent Contractor Agreement

**Work Schedule:** This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

**Who The Client Is:** We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding lighting wholesaler dedicated to exclusively servicing lighting contractors across Australia.  
  
**Role Overview:** Support an Australian lighting design team producing lighting calculations and technical documentation for commercial projects using DIALux Evo and AutoCAD.

This role requires a knowledgeable technical professional who can confidently work within established Australian lighting compliance workflows.  
  
**Key Responsibilities:** 

-   Preparing and modifying lighting calculation models and layouts
-   Producing accurate technical reports and supporting documentation
-   Reviewing architectural and electrical plans
-   Ensuring designs align with applicable Australian standards and project requirements

  
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

-   Demonstrated experience producing lighting calculations for Australian commercial projects
-   Familiarity with the Australian National Construction Code (NCC)
-   Advanced proficiency in DIALux Evo and solid AutoCAD skills
-   Ability to confidently read and interpret architectural and electrical plans
-   High attention to detail and strong written English communication
-   Ability to work independently and raise technical queries when clarification is required

**Preferred**

-   Experience supporting Australian electrical contractors, consultants, or lighting wholesalers
-   Familiarity with Revit, SketchUp, AGi32, Relux, & Photometric Toolbox software
-   Experience working remotely within Australian business hours
