# People & Culture Advisor (001-1072)

> Hunt St · Philippines (Remote) · Full-time · Posted 2026-07-07

**Workplace:** remote

**Department:** 001

## Description

**Looking for Filipino (Philippines-based) candidates**

**Job Role:** People & Culture Advisor

**Compensation range:** $2,200 AUD - $3,000 AUD / Monthly

**Engagement type:** Independent Contractor Agreement

**Work Schedule:** This role is expected to align with the Australian business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration.

**Who We Are:** At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote, so you'll be able to work from home.

**Who The Client Is:** A privately owned Australian technology services provider specialising in managed IT support for schools. They deliver tailored, practical technology support designed to keep operations secure, efficient, and scalable, with a strong focus on responsiveness and client service.

Backed by an Australia-based team, they work closely with organisations to resolve technical issues quickly, improve systems reliability, and support long-term digital growth through simple, effective technology solutions.

**Role Overview:** We're looking for an experienced, self-directed People & Culture Advisor to own the full employee lifecycle for our team of around 25 people. This is a true generalist role, combining hands-on HR administration and compliance with end-to-end recruitment and resourcing.

You'll be the sole People & Culture function in the business, working closely with the leadership team. We need someone senior enough to operate autonomously — setting up sound processes, exercising good judgement on compliance matters, and managing competing priorities without close supervision — rather than someone who needs a fully built-out HR framework to work within.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Recruitment & Resourcing (approx. 50% of role)**

- Manage end-to-end recruitment for all roles: job ad drafting and posting, sourcing, screening, interview coordination and shortlisting
- Partner with hiring managers to scope roles, write accurate position descriptions, and set realistic hiring timelines
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for hard-to-fill or recurring roles
- Manage candidate communications and experience from application through to offer
- Negotiate offers and issue employment contracts in line with company policy and relevant awards/agreements
- Track and report on recruitment metrics (time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness)

**HR Administration & Compliance (approx. 50% of role)**

- Coordinate onboarding and induction for new starters, including contracts, and system setup
- Maintain accurate, compliant employee records
- Administer employee lifecycle changes: variations, promotions, leave, and offboarding
- Employee wellbeing support
- Support payroll with accurate and timely data (new starters, leavers, changes)
- Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, relevant Modern Awards, and workplace health & safety obligations
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and the staff handbook
- Support quarterly performance review cycles, probation reviews, and basic employee relations matters
- Act as a first point of contact for staff on HR policy, entitlements, and general people queries

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

**Essential**

- Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle recruitment independently
- Solid working knowledge of Australian employment law, the Fair Work Act, and Modern Award interpretation
- Excellent judgement and the confidence to make sound calls without a large HR team behind you
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance urgent recruitment needs against steady-state compliance work
- High attention to detail, particularly around contracts, records, and compliance documentation
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with staff at all levels, including senior leadership

**Desirable**

- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Experience setting up or improving HR systems and processes from the ground up
- Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking system (ATS) platforms
- Experience in professional services or a comparable office-based environment

**Work Arrangement & Expectations:**

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

- Be available for meetings and collaboration during core \[AEST (AU) or PHT\] business hours
- Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
- Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
