**Department:** 019

## Description

**Looking for Philippines-based candidates**

**Job Role:** Junior Financial Analyst

**Work Schedule:** Across time zones with an Australia-based finance team

**Compensation range:** $1,800 AUD - $2,200 AUD / Monthly

**Who We Are:** At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be formally employed through an Employer of Record (EOR) arrangement. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote, so you’ll be able to work from home.

**Who The Client Is:** Our client is a fast-growing Australian technology company that's transforming the future of electric vehicle charging. Through innovative technology and smart infrastructure, they're making EV charging faster, more accessible, and more convenient while helping accelerate the shift to sustainable transportation.

**Role Overview:** We’re looking for a commercially minded Junior Financial Analyst to join a growing finance team. You’ll take ownership of financial models and data, keeping them accurate, up to date, and reliable across reporting cycles, while also supporting projects such as capital raising, investor due diligence, and business analysis. This role suits someone with 2–3 years’ experience who is detail-focused, dependable, keen to grow, and comfortable in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, with an interest in using AI, automation, and scripts to improve workflows and reduce manual work.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Own and maintain (the core of the role):

- Own, maintain and improve the company’s financial models, keeping them accurate, current and reliable
- Act as the point of accountability for gathering, cleaning and validating data from various sources and teams across the business
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date data sets on a regular cadence, serving reporting, modelling and analysis across multiple use cases
- Own the recurring data-preparation and reporting tasks for the company’s debt facility
- Use AI to build and automate: writing and debugging scripts (e.g. Google Apps Script), automating recurring workflows, and streamlining data pipelines to cut out manual work

Analyse and support:

- Support capital raising initiatives and investor due diligence
- Analyse financial and operational performance
- Prepare reports, presentations and investment materials
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling
- Conduct commercial research and competitor analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and the broader business

## Requirements

- 2–3 years' experience in Financial Analysis, Corporate Finance, FP&A or Transaction Advisory
- Degree qualified in Commerce, Finance, Economics or similar
- Strong financial modelling capability, with proficiency across the Microsoft and Google suites (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, PowerPoint/Slides)
- Strong, hands-on ability to apply AI to build and automate work, using tools like Claude and ChatGPT to write and debug code and scripts (e.g. Google Apps Script), automate workflows, and create tools that reduce manual effort
- Reliable and methodical, with strong attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability for accuracy, recurring deliverables and deadlines
- Highly analytical, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically rather than simply follow processes
- Curious by nature, asks good questions and enjoys learning and applying new technologies
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change
- Able to communicate complex financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Comfortable coordinating across teams and time zones
- CPA/CFA studies viewed favourably but not essential

**Work Arrangement & Expectations:**

This is a remote role that will be set up via an Employer of Record (EOR) service.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

- Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
- Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile
