**Compensation range:** $1,200 AUD - $1,600 AUD / Monthly

**Engagement type:** Independent Contractor Agreement

**Work Schedule:** This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

**Who The Client Is:** With a strong footprint across Australia, this long-established engineering consultancy specialising in building services, decarbonisation, electrification, energy efficiency and smart buildings 

**Role Overview:** We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Marketing Assistant to support our Marketing Manager in the day-to-day execution of marketing initiatives while providing general administrative support across the business. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines marketing coordination, content creation, branding, digital marketing, and administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and contributing to a collaborative team.

**Key Responsibilities:** 

-   Support the Marketing Manager and Head of Sales with the day-to-day execution of marketing and business development activities and initiatives.
-   Update and maintain company templates, proposals, presentations, and documentation to ensure branding remains consistent and up to date.
-   Assist with copywriting, proofreading, and editing by translating technical engineering content into clear, engaging, customer-focused marketing communications.
-   Create, schedule, and manage content across the company's social media platforms.
-   Monitor social media engagement, regularly reviewing posts for negative comments, complaints, or feedback, and prioritising the removal or escalation of inappropriate or damaging content.
-   Coordinate marketing campaigns, day-to-day marketing activities, and internal communications.
-   Maintain and organise the marketing SharePoint library, ensuring templates, brand assets, and marketing resources are current, accessible, and well organised.
-   Assist in the development of brochures, case studies, capability statements, presentations, website content, news articles, project announcements, and other marketing collateral.
-   Coordinate photography, project imagery, and marketing assets for use across digital and print channels.
-   Collaborate with engineers and project teams to gather information and develop accurate, engaging marketing content.
-   Support the planning and coordination of industry events, conferences, client engagement activities, meetings, and internal team events.
-   Ensure all marketing materials comply with the company's brand guidelines and quality standards.
-   Provide general administrative support across the marketing and wider office functions.
-   Maintain accurate records, registers, contact lists, internal trackers, and marketing documentation.
-   Prepare, format, organise, file, and maintain documents, including version control and record management.
-   Assist with scheduling, document preparation, file organisation, and other ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
-   Help ensure marketing and administration systems remain organised, current, and easy to access.
-   Sales support: Add responsibilities around proposals, capability statements, client presentations, business development campaigns and market research to better reflect how the role will support the Head of Sales.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

-   1–3 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or similar role.
-   Qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
-   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-   Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading abilities.
-   Demonstrated ability to translate technical information into clear, engaging, customer-focused content.
-   Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content.
-   Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
-   Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva.
-   Strong organisational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
-   Ability to manage multiple priorities, work to deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
-   Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to take initiative.
-   Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and quality.
-   Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to work effectively with engineers, technical teams, and internal stakeholders.
-   Positive, collaborative, and adaptable approach to work.
-   Demonstrated ownership of tasks, following them through to completion.
-   Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
