## Description

The main purpose of the Sales & Marketing Director is to own and lead the company's entire revenue generation function by overseeing both Sales and Marketing as one unified department. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing strategies that generate qualified leads, improve sales performance, and drive sustainable revenue growth for Hustler Marketing.  
  
This includes taking full ownership of the sales and marketing funnel, from generating the first client touchpoint to closing new business, while ensuring that every initiative, campaign, and sales process contributes to predictable and scalable growth. You will oversee lead generation, sales strategy, marketing channels, pipeline management, conversion optimization, team development, and departmental performance.  
  
During your first phase in the role, you will audit our existing sales and marketing operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and personally lead key initiatives to rebuild and strengthen our growth engine. As the function matures, you will recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing Sales and Marketing team while delegating execution and maintaining strategic oversight.  
  
The Sales & Marketing Director will report directly to Company Leadership while working collaboratively with the Service Department and other cross-functional teams.

You will be responsible for ensuring that our marketing efforts generate a steady pipeline of opportunities while continuously improving our sales processes, qualification standards, and closing rates. Through strategic leadership, commercial insight, and operational excellence, you will align both departments toward one common objective: sustainable revenue growth.  
  
As the company continues to grow, you will build and lead a best-in-class Sales and Marketing function that continuously improves acquisition performance, expands our market presence, and strengthens Hustler Marketing's position as the leading retention marketing agency for ecommerce brands.

### General Responsibilities

-   Owning the entire sales and marketing funnel from lead generation through to signed contracts and new client acquisition
-   Developing and executing the company's overall sales and marketing strategy in alignment with business growth objectives
-   Auditing existing sales and marketing processes, identifying operational gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, and implementing effective solutions
-   Building predictable and scalable lead generation systems across multiple acquisition channels, including SEO, outbound sales, partnerships, referrals, paid acquisition, content marketing, and other growth initiatives
-   Ensuring a consistent flow of qualified leads that supports the company's revenue targets
-   Improving sales performance by optimizing lead qualification, sales processes, pipeline management, and conversion rates
-   Personally leading strategic sales initiatives and key opportunities during the initial rebuild phase while remaining actively involved in high-value deals when required
-   Building, recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing Sales and Marketing teams as the departments continue to scale
-   Managing departmental budgets, hiring plans, resource allocation, and channel investment decisions to maximize return on investment
-   Establishing clear KPIs, performance metrics, and reporting systems across both Sales and Marketing functions

-   Continuously researching industry trends, competitor activity, ecommerce developments, and emerging marketing strategies to maintain Hustler Marketing's competitive advantage
-   Developing scalable processes, documentation, and operational frameworks that improve departmental efficiency and long-term growth
-   Creating a culture of accountability, ownership, continuous improvement, and commercial excellence across both Sales and Marketing teams
-   Participating in leadership meetings and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company
-   Supporting other departments with commercial insights and strategic initiatives whenever required

### Position Specs

-   Full-time commitment while meeting our general availability for office hours
-   An average of 140 tracked hours per month consistently
-   Fixed-rate monthly salary paid in USD, with uncapped performance-based commission tied to closed revenue
-   Receive contractor status after signing our non-disclosure agreement
-   Exclusivity agreement (nullifying the possibility to work in a position of a similar nature while working for Hustler Marketing)
-   Committing to a 30-day notice period after the first two months (with the first two months being the trial-and-adaptation period paid at full rate)
-   Regular performance reviews every 9-12 months, with the first one being after 3-6 months
-   Re-evaluation of the role and workload after 6-12 months
-   Fully remote position with a flexible work schedule
-   Senior leadership position with direct ownership of Sales and Marketing strategy, budget, channels, and hiring

The ideal candidate is a commercially driven leader with extensive experience building, leading, and scaling both sales and marketing functions. You have successfully owned revenue targets, developed high-performing teams, and implemented systems that generate predictable business growth.  
  
You are equally comfortable developing long-term commercial strategy and personally executing critical initiatives when necessary. You understand that during periods of growth or transformation, leadership means rolling up your sleeves, solving problems directly, and establishing the systems that others will later scale.  
  
You have significant experience working within a digital agency or SaaS business serving ecommerce brands and understand the unique challenges of selling performance-based marketing services. You are highly analytical, data-driven, and focused on measurable business outcomes, using performance metrics to continuously optimize every stage of the customer acquisition funnel.  
  
The right person is entrepreneurial, accountable, decisive, and capable of balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

-   At least 5 years of experience leading Sales, Marketing, or Revenue functions with direct ownership of commercial results
-   Proven experience building, scaling, and leading high-performing Sales and Marketing teams
-   Demonstrated ability to personally drive revenue growth while also developing scalable commercial systems and processes
-   Significant experience working within a digital marketing agency or SaaS company serving ecommerce businesses (required)
-   Proven success generating qualified leads through multiple acquisition channels including SEO, outbound sales, partnerships, referrals, content marketing, and other growth initiatives
-   Strong sales experience with a proven track record of personally closing new business and managing high-value sales opportunities
-   Excellent understanding of sales pipeline management, lead qualification, conversion optimization, and revenue forecasting
-   Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure funnel performance, interpret commercial data, and make data-driven decisions
-   Experience managing departmental budgets, hiring, resource planning, and operational performance
-   Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills with the ability to build high-performing remote teams
-   Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English

-   Experience selling retention marketing services such as Email Marketing, SMS Marketing, or UGC services is a strong advantage
-   Familiarity with Klaviyo, ecommerce marketing technology, and the broader ecommerce ecosystem is highly desirable
-   Existing relationships or network within the ecommerce or DTC industry is considered a strong advantage

-   Must be available and responsive during office hours (Mondays to Fridays between 3-6 PM BCN time)
