## Description

Reporting to the VP Engineering, the Hardware engineer plays a critical role in the development of new RF systems/tools through design, simulation and optimization of primarily IoT circuits, small electronic circuits and RF/RFID antennas. You will convert ideas of our business development into prototypes and new products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements, define layout specifications and develop customized circuit solutions to meet the needs of our customers and projects. Your expertise in analog circuit design, sensors, batteries, schematic tools, simulation tools and understanding of electromagnetic theory will contribute significantly to the success of our IoT products.

**Responsibilities**

-   Convert ideas of business development into samples, prototypes and new product ideas.
-   Be a creative DIY enthusiast.

-   Work closely with RF engineers and project managers to understand system requirements and antenna performance targets.

-   Design and simulation of small electronic circuits and antenna structures using electromagnetic simulation software (e.g. CST Microwave Studio, HFSS, FEKO).

-   Optimize circuits for active sensor applications. 

-   Creating prototypes and product samples using laboratory equipment such as network analyzers and specialized test equipment in coordination with other departments.

-   Analyze test results and optimize prototypes to improve performance and meet project requirements.

-   Design complete solutions around RFID and BLE tags according to customer specifications.

-   Contribute to the development of production processes for the manufacture of our products and transfer solutions to operations

-   Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies and advances in antenna design techniques and materials.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics or a related field; master’s degree preferred.

-   Knowledge of HW component and integration test methods and strong background in the planning, execution and automatization of test cases

-   Knowledge of electromagnetic theory is a plus

-   Experience in the field of electronics design and manufacturing, ability to generate schematics and layouts and read drawings

-   Creative, hands-on mentality

-   Very open minded and able to think outside boundaries

-   Experience with antenna measurement techniques and equipment.

-   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

-   Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

-   Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

-   Creative thinking and a passion for pushing the boundaries of antenna technology.

-   Good communication skills in English and German.

-   Hybrid working, means need to be at least 3 days per week in our Sauerlach office
