## Description

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigeria nationals for the position below at the Institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan.

**Position:   Application Developer**

**Contract:   6-month renewable contract**                                   

**Location: Ibadan**

**Closing Date: 15 October 2026**

**DUTIES**

·       Design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements for the RFU application using C# and .NET Framework.

·       Thoroughly test new features and enhancements to ensure quality and functionality before deployment.

·       Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues to ensure system stability and performance.

·       Develop and maintain relevant technical and user documentation for the application.

·       Train and support users to ensure effective and optimal use of the application.

·       Serve as the first point of contact for RFU users and provide timely resolution of application-related issues.

·       Apply software development, security, coding, and version control best practices.

·       Work with users and teams to gather requirements and support application integration with relevant systems.

·       Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

## Requirements

**QUALIFICATION**

BSc/HND/B.Tech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with a minimum of two (2) years’ of relevant experience in a well-structured organization.

**COMPETENCIES**

The ideal candidate must have:

·       Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, application development, maintenance, and system integration.

·       Practical experience in web application development, database design, management, and integration.

·       Knowledge of user interface and user experience design principles.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

·       Good interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with users and technical teams.

·       Good written and verbal communication skills.
