# Impulsonic Careers

>
Impulsonic is a startup co-founded by UNC Chapel Hill alumni and faculty in late 2011. We develop Phonon, a physics-based audio content creation tool for video games and virtual reality systems like Oculus Rift. In the past three years, we’ve secured funding through SBIR/STTR grants, won the NC IDEA contest, and been part of Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network, Groundwork Labs, and LAUNCH Chapel Hill.
