## Description

We are recruiting a Warehouse Operative to join the Logistics Warehouse team on a permanent basis. This is a key role that supports the repairs and maintnenace delivery, as you'll pick, record, store and dispatch materials, whilst keeping the warehouse safe, clean and organised.

**Duties**

-   Support the Logistics Team to provide an effective repairs and maintenance materials service.
-   Pick materials accurately in line with instructions from the Warehouse Manager.
-   Keep the warehouse clean and tidy, and move stock safely and efficiently.
-   Work with the Warehouse Manager, Stock Controller and team colleagues to keep warehouse and delivery operations running smoothly.
-   When requested, assist the Stock Controller with the accurate receipt, recording and put-away of goods delivered to site.
-   Record stock movements accurately and complete picks and put-away tasks correctly.
-   Assist with regular inventory cycle counts to help maintain accurate stock records.
-   Pick orders accurately and safely, and place them in the correct dispatch bay or operative stock box on time.
-   Look after plant, tools and materials awaiting dispatch.
-   Work with colleagues across the team and wider business to ensure a customer-focused and high-performing logistics service.
-   Record and manage the movement of materials, tools and plant delivered to and from the warehouse.
-   Utilise the correct procedures in all tasks being carried out within the warehouse.

## Requirements

-   Experience in operating an FLT within a warehouse environment.
-   Experience of picking, preparing and dispatching orders in a warehouse or stores environment.
-   Experience of completing and checking documents, such as material orders, and using handheld devices or tablets.
-   Awareness of safe manual handling practices and ability to move materials safely.
-   An understanding of how stock should be stored safely, securely and efficiently within the warehouse.
-   Good literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to complete basic records accurately.
-   Able to prioritise workload, follow instructions and complete tasks accurately without close supervision.
-   A Full UK driving licence, be able to drive and travel to different sites across the region as required (desirable).
-   Experience of driving a commercial delivery van (desireable).
-   Commutable distance of BD2.
-   Right to work in the UK - Visa sponsorship is not available.
