# Wellhead Inspector

## Description

The Wellhead Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality, integrity, and compliance of wellhead equipment and components used in oil and gas operations. This includes pre-installation, in-service, and post-operation inspections to ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., API 6A), safety regulations, and client-specific requirements.

### **Key Responsibilities:**

-   Perform thorough inspections of wellhead equipment, including casing heads, tubing heads, spools, valves, and trees.
-   Verify compliance with API 6A, API Q1, ISO, and client specifications.
-   Conduct visual, dimensional, and pressure testing of wellhead components.
-   Review material certifications, manufacturing records, and documentation packages.
-   Identify and report non-conformances or damage to wellhead components.
-   Generate inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and maintain proper documentation and traceability.
-   Work closely with QA/QC teams, service companies, and drilling or completions teams on-site.
-   Ensure safe inspection practices and compliance with company HSE policies.
-   Witness assembly and pressure testing when required.
-   Support audits and third-party inspection requirements as needed.

### **Qualifications:**

**Education & Certifications:**

-   Technical Diploma or High School Graduate (required); Engineering background preferred.
-   API 6A, API Q1/Q2, or equivalent industry certifications (preferred).
-   NDT Level II certifications (PT, MT, UT, VT) considered an asset.

**Experience:**

-   Minimum 2–5 years of experience inspecting wellhead components or related oilfield equipment.
-   Familiarity with OEM equipment (e.g., Cameron, FMC, GE, NOV, etc.).
-   Strong understanding of pressure control equipment, specifications, and inspection protocols.

**Skills:**

-   Strong attention to detail and technical knowledge of mechanical systems.
-   Ability to read technical drawings, datasheets, and QA documentation.
-   Proficient in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, pressure test units, etc.
-   Good communication and reporting skills; experience with digital inspection software is a plus.
-   Able to work independently in field environments with minimal supervision.

### **Work Environment:**

-   Field-based role; work may be required in remote and challenging environments.
-   Exposure to high-pressure equipment and oilfield conditions.
-   May involve rotational shifts and extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
-   Must adhere to strict HSE and operational protocols.
