**Project Responsibilities**

**Project Short Description**

Modern SAP cloud transformation project focused on building and enhancing backend business applications on SAP BTP using ABAP Cloud. The scope includes development of scalable services, RAP-based business objects, CDS data models, OData integrations, background job automation, and secure communication with SAP and third-party systems.

## Requirements

-   SAP BTP ABAP Cloud development
-   RESTful ABAP Programming Model — RAP
-   CDS view entities
-   Managed and unmanaged RAP scenarios
-   Behavior definitions and behavior implementations
-   Actions, validations, determinations and feature control
-   EML: READ ENTITIES, MODIFY ENTITIES
-   OData V2/V4 service definitions and service bindings
-   ABAP Cloud released APIs and cloud development restrictions
-   Communication Scenarios and Communication Arrangements
-   Service Consumption Models and OData client proxies
-   HTTP client usage in ABAP Cloud
-   JSON/XML payload handling
-   Application Jobs, Job Catalogs and Job Templates
-   Application logging and structured error handling
-   DEV-QAS-PROD transport and software component lifecycle

**Must-haves**

-   We are looking for an SAP BTP ABAP Cloud Developer to handle backend development activities in a modern SAP cloud project.
-   The role requires hands-on experience with ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS-based data modelling, OData services, Application Jobs, Communication Arrangements and Service Consumption Models.
-   The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, write clean and maintainable code, understand SAP BTP development constraints, and take part in DEV-QAS-PROD delivery lifecycle.
-   Experience with Fiori Elements is an advantage, but not necessary.

**Nice-to-have**

-   Experience in the following areas would be a strong advantage:
-   Unit testing and testable code design
-   SAP BTP IAM, business roles and business catalogs
-   Performance-aware CDS and ABAP development
-   Integration with SAP S/4HANA, SAP C4C or other SAP cloud/on-premise systems
-   Basic understanding of Fiori Elements or SAPUI5
-   Fiori Elements backend enablement
-   Value helps, annotations and metadata-driven UI behavior
