## Description

We are looking for a Data & Backend Software Engineer to develop backend services, APIs and data-processing pipelines for analytics-driven applications. The role covers data acquisition, validation, normalization, storage and secure exposure of operational and time-series data.  
  
**Responsibilities**

-   Develop backend services and REST APIs.
-   Build data-ingestion pipelines from APIs, databases, files and telemetry systems.
-   Design relational schemas and normalized data models.
-   Implement data validation, timestamp normalization, duplicate handling and quality checks.
-   Build historical and scheduled data-processing workflows.
-   Maintain traceability between source data and processed results.
-   Implement authentication, logging, auditability and error handling.
-   Write automated unit and integration tests and collaborate with AI/ML and domain engineering teams.

## Requirements

-   Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
-   Strong Python programming skills and experience developing backend applications.
-   Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
-   Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.
-   Experience with ETL/data-processing workflows.
-   Understanding of database design, data validation and time-series data.
-   Git, automated testing and good written and spoken English.

**Nice to Have**

-   FastAPI and PostgreSQL.
-   Asynchronous Python and background processing.
-   Kafka, NiFi or similar integration technologies.
-   Prometheus/time-series databases, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
-   OAuth2/OpenID Connect and OpenAPI.
-   Telecommunications, OSS/NMS or telemetry systems.
