# Mid - Senior MS SQL Engineer - ETL & Data Integration

## Description

We are looking for an MS SQL Engineer to join our team and design, develop and maintain data solutions on an on-premises Microsoft SQL Server environment. The role focuses on SQL development and SSIS-based ETL processes that support critical business operations.

You will work closely with data, development and business teams to ensure reliable, well-performing and well-documented data pipelines. The position is open to both medior and senior engineers.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Design, develop and maintain SSIS packages and ETL processes
-   Write and optimise T-SQL code, including stored procedures, functions, views and triggers
-   Monitor, troubleshoot and tune the performance of SQL Server databases and ETL jobs
-   Design and maintain data models and database structures
-   Ensure data quality, integrity and consistency across systems
-   Schedule, deploy and support ETL jobs in an on-premises environment
-   Analyse and resolve production issues and perform root cause analysis
-   Collaborate with developers, analysts and business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
-   Document solutions and contribute to best practices and code reviews

## Requirements

-   Minimum 3 years of professional experience as an MS SQL / ETL Engineer or Developer (5+ years for senior level)
-   Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
-   Solid experience designing and developing SSIS packages
-   Experience with query optimisation and performance tuning
-   Good understanding of ETL principles, data warehousing and data modelling
-   Experience working in on-premises environments
-   Familiarity with version control and deployment practices for database and ETL code
-   Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
-   Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities
-   Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working
-   Good communication and teamwork skills

**Nice to Have**

-   Experience with SSRS and/or SSAS
-   Experience with SQL Server Agent and job scheduling
-   Experience with CI/CD for database and ETL deployments
-   Experience in the financial services sector
-   Microsoft certifications in data or SQL Server
