## Description

We are looking for Senior PHP Backend Engineers to join our team and support the development, maintenance, and optimisation of modern backend applications. The role focuses on backend development, API design, integrations, database optimisation, and the delivery of scalable solutions using modern PHP technologies across Laravel and Symfony environments.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Develop and maintain backend applications using PHP frameworks
-   Design and implement REST APIs and backend services
-   Contribute to scalable and maintainable software architectures
-   Work with asynchronous processing, queues, jobs, and integrations
-   Support database design, migrations, indexing, and optimisation activities
-   Write and maintain unit and feature tests
-   Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards
-   Support troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimisation activities
-   Collaborate with development teams during takeover and delivery phases
-   Contribute to CI/CD and deployment-related activities

## Requirements

### Core Requirements

-   4–5 years of professional PHP development experience
-   Strong knowledge of PHP 8.2+
-   Strong experience with REST API development
-   Strong knowledge of MySQL, including schema design, migrations, indexing, and query optimisation
-   Experience with Docker and Git
-   Experience with PHPUnit or Pest for testing
-   Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and clean architecture principles
-   Experience participating in code reviews
-   Understanding of CI/CD and deployment processes
-   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-   Good communication and collaboration skills

### Laravel-Focused Profiles

-   Strong experience with Laravel
