## Description

We are seeking an **experienced Safety Watcher** to join our Cape Town projects team immediately. In this hands-on role, you will monitor high-risk activities, enforce safety requirements, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in a dynamic petrochemical environment.

**Reports to:** Health & Safety Officer

**Position Type:** Fixed Term Contract

**Role Overview:**

Monitor and control high-risk activities on-site. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Act as a first line of defense in safety-critical areas.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Monitor confined spaces, hot work, and work at heights.
-   Enforce permit-to-work systems and correct PPE usage.
-   Identify and report hazards immediately.
-   Support emergency response and maintain safety logs.

## Requirements

**Requirements:**

-   Matric / Grade 12 / NSC
-   SHE Representative Training (MERSETA/CETA/HWSETA)
-   1+ year Safety Watcher experience in petrochemical or heavy industry
-   Valid Working at Heights & Confined Space certificates
-   First Aid & Firefighting training
-   Valid driver’s license
