This is a seconded position, meaning the selected candidate will be employed by ITAC but work full-time on assignment with one of our clients. While day-to-day responsibilities will be managed on-site with the client, ITAC provides ongoing support, resources, and benefits as your employer. **This position is full time contract work anticipated to last for the next 1-2 years, and requires the employee to be on the client's Wilmington, NC site.** Please only apply if these requirements are agreeable to you.

### Overview

We are seeking a **Process Engineer II** to support manufacturing operations by improving process performance, product flow, and overall plant efficiency. This role will work with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, solve technical issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

### Responsibilities

-   Support manufacturing operations through process analysis, troubleshooting, and improvement activities
-   Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, improve flow, increase capacity, and lower cost
-   Apply Lean tools such as 5S, kaizen, value stream mapping, visual management, and standard work
-   Assist with process documentation, operating procedures, and standard work updates
-   Collect and analyze data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
-   Support line balancing, workflow, layout, staffing, and work cell improvements
-   Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, and other teams to resolve technical issues
-   Participate in projects that improve manufacturing efficiency, safety, and productivity
-   Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations clearly

## Requirements

-   BS or MS in the following Engineering Disciplines: Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Industrial or Ceramic Engineering or other related engineering discipline
-   2+ years' experience in Manufacturing Environment or related technical experience
-   Knowledge of manufacturing systems, production processes, and standard engineering principles
-   Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
-   Experience with 5S, kaizen, value stream mapping, standard work, flow improvement, line balancing, or work cell design
-   Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
-   Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project

### Preferred Qualifications

-   Data Analytics
-   Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
-   Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting
-   Project management experience
