**Workplace:** on_site

**Department:** Marketing

## Description

Build the Team. Own the Market. Book the Appointments.

We’re looking for a **high-energy, sales-driven Local Field Marketing Manager** who knows how to turn conversations into opportunities.

This isn’t a sit-behind-a-desk marketing job.

You’ll be out in the community, leading a team of Event Marketers, finding the right events, creating local buzz, talking to homeowners, building partnerships—and most importantly, **coaching your team to book qualified appointments.**

If you’ve led a **canvassing, door-to-door, event marketing, lead generation, or outside sales team**, know how to get people fired up, and love watching the numbers climb, we want to talk to you.

We need a leader who can bring the **energy AND the results.**

What You’ll Own

- **Lead the Team & Bring the Energy:** Recruit, train, manage, and motivate Event Marketers responsible for engaging homeowners and booking qualified appointments.
- **Get Appointments on the Board:** Establish clear appointment-booking expectations and hold the team accountable for individual and team performance.
- **Coach the Conversation:** Develop and coach effective approaches, scripts, objection handling, assumptive booking techniques, and customer engagement strategies.
- **Get in the Field:** Regularly attend events and activations to observe performance, provide real-time coaching, and show the team how it's done.
- **Find the Events That Matter:** Identify, plan, organize, and execute community events, sponsorships, festivals, expos, and local activations—with a focus on opportunities, not just attendance.
- **Make Friends in the Community:** Build relationships with local businesses, organizations, community groups, and other partners to expand our reach and generate customer opportunities.
- **Know Your Numbers:** Track customer interactions, leads generated, appointments booked, appointment completion rates, opportunities created, sales generated, and event ROI.
- **Double Down on What Works:** Determine which events and strategies we repeat, expand, improve—or never do again.
- **Take Marketing to the Streets:** Execute events, neighborhood canvassing, job-site canvassing, partnerships, and other grassroots campaigns.
- **Put the Right People in the Right Places:** Manage schedules and strategically deploy Event Marketers based on event opportunity, geography, and individual performance.
- **Work Across the Business:** Partner with Sales, Recruiting, and Marketing to make sure opportunities don't get lost after the appointment is booked.

## Requirements

**What You Bring:**

- Proven experience in **sales, canvassing, door-to-door sales, field marketing, event-based lead generation, or outside sales**
- Experience **managing and coaching a performance-driven team**
- A track record of turning customer conversations into **appointments, leads, or sales opportunities**
- Strong understanding of prospecting, approaching customers, qualifying opportunities, overcoming objections, and **asking for the appointment**
- Willingness to **lead from the front**—you're comfortable jumping into an event and showing your team exactly what great looks like
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and motivational skills
- Experience setting and managing individual and team KPIs
- Strong organizational and project-management skills
- A competitive, results-driven mindset with a strong sense of accountability
- Flexibility to work **evenings and weekends** when that's where the opportunity is
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

**Preferred:**

- Experience managing **canvassing, event marketing, appointment-setting, home-services, or direct-to-consumer sales teams**
- Home-services industry experience
- Knowledge of local events, organizations, businesses, and partnership opportunities
- Familiarity with CRM, lead tracking, and performance reporting systems
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field

How You'll Know You're Winning

We're not going to measure success by how many events you attended or how many flyers your team handed out.
**We're going to measure what happened because you were there.**

That means **appointments booked, completed appointments, quality of opportunities, conversion rates, event ROI, revenue generated, and a team that keeps getting better.**

Your job is to build a team that isn't afraid to approach someone, start a conversation, have some fun, represent J. Blanton the right way—and confidently **ask for the appointment.**

## Benefits

**What We Offer**

- Competitive salary + **performance-based incentive opportunities**
- Comprehensive benefits
- Professional development and advancement opportunities
- A fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- The opportunity to **build and lead your own high-performing field team**
- A direct impact on J. Blanton Plumbing's growth
- A company that believes work can be **competitive, challenging, successful—and still be fun**

**Sound Like You?**

If you're the person who naturally brings the energy, loves developing people, gets a little competitive when there's a goal on the board, and would rather be **out making things happen than sitting behind a desk talking about them**, we'd love to meet you.

**Come build the team. Own the market. And make some Good Calls.**
